3 Steps To Develop Your Consciousness
STEP 2: FEEL THE LOVE
God is love. We are love. The Universe is love. These simple statements and the beliefs behind them resonate with people all over the world, regardless of age, location, or religion. The energy of Love brings harmony to our inner being and enables us to recognize that when we connect with an aspect of our reality (such as other people, nature, or experiences), we are interacting and engaging on a soul level. We can then connect even more deeply with our values and creative energy.
Being in alignment with this pure love also brings us closer to Truth. When we are not expressing unconditional love, our level of universal connection may be weakened. We may withdraw rather than choosing active engagement with our physical environment. We may be out of alignment with this principal if we’re experiencing the following symptoms:
- Feeling disconnected from Source, Self, and others
- Feeling too busy or feeling stuck doing boring things, possibly resulting in a lack of progress
- Regularly succumbing to things your intuition rejects
- Making choices for unhealthy reasons
- Failing to manifest the things we desire and resisting our reality
- Falling into depression and anxiety
- Refusing to face fears or challenge our belief system
Instead of repeating unhealthy patterns, we can begin to develop ourselves by considering what soul strengths we want to take with us when we move on from this life. Love is the one thing we all seek; we’ve been seeking it every day since we were born. By fully connecting to our reality through a state of divine love with a deep awareness, we can empower ourselves by being more accepting of life and setting our intention to manifest a more peaceful, loving existence.
STEP 3: RECOGNIZE YOUR OWN POWER
In this day and age it seems so many are out for power. Governments and corporations survive on it, bullies thrive on it. Yet if we look more closely at the kind of power they display, we can see their power is often backed up by brute force, dominating behaviour, questionable ethics, and threats. There is nothing spiritual about this kind of power, and it will not serve as an asset that will endure within their souls as expanded consciousness.
If we want to grow our personal power, we can begin by defining what kind of power we’re after. And then we can set our intention to create it within ourselves and our reality. If we struggle to meet our own goals and lack discipline in putting in the energy towards following our path or realizing our soul desires, we limit our own power and hold ourselves back. Fortunately, we always have a choice. When we regularly practice choosing to align with our spiritual power (which is backed by love and kindness), we have an increased ability to manifest the reality we want. Real mastery over our minds means honing our skills to stay focused. It means watching our thoughts and taking note of our own intuitions and synchronistic flow.
When we feel that a lack of resources (people, time, money, or skills) won’t “let” us achieve our dreams, we’re most likely out of alignment with our personal power. Some common experiences associated with this phenomenon are:
- Falling into control dramas
- Self-destructive behaviors leading to feelings of hitting rock bottom
- Becoming unhealthy and out of balance
- Feeling trapped in suffering or scarcity
- An inability to use our power to further our development
- A lack of self support that manifests as taking weaker positions
- Bad or low energy, or energy focused in wrong directions
- The inability to trust ourselves to make good decisions that add value to our lives
The things that take away our peace of mind will remain a nagging thorn in our sides until we face our truths as well as our fears. If we want change in any area of life, we must be the one to take that first step towards change. Luckily we can start small, building ourselves up through trial and error, and following what feels good.
Developing Through TRUTH, LOVE, POWER
I love the simplicity of these guiding principles. We can quickly reflect on each area of our lives in this 3-step process to assess where we need to pay closer attention.
Every irrational fear and limiting belief will stay with us until we move ahead with courage, and connect with them. By asking what life has been trying to teach us and objectively seeking the truth in each lesson, we will begin to reclaim our power. All we need to do is take responsibility for our circumstances and positive actions towards creating the reality we desire.
When we choose to accept challenging experiences and embrace life, rather than running away or resisting, we can acknowledge where fear still exists within us and identify the soul areas where we still need to develop. Everything that scares us is another opportunity to get more into alignment with truth, love, and power.
