Once we begin to wake up to our purpose in life and discover that we live in a spiritual world, we find that we are supported and guided in many ways; we start to notice the flow of synchronicity, and evidence of spiritual consciousness emerges as we follow the messages we receive.
A key to continuing spiritual growth is to stay connected to our intuitive guidance, and Meditation is one of the best ways to accomplish this. When we meditate, we are better able to access our intuitive intelligence. We add horsepower to our efforts to identify our life questions, which allows us to maintain our focus and stay plugged into our mission.
For me, it is difficult to trust something that I can’t prove—I’m a believer in the scientific method and this made me initially skeptical of not just meditation, but all spiritual pursuits in general. It turned out that, for me, one of the best aspects of both meditation and synchronicity is that I can test them out and see the results for myself.
Synchronistic messages can only bring us progress if we notice them, and Meditation provides the chance to get out of the repetitive dialogue in our heads. It allows space to open up for us to discover hunches about our next steps.
Taking the time to be still and let our minds settle brings clarity, and in turn, it becomes easier to stay in karmic alignment by identifying how to stay on the right path. If we are helpers, we’ll draw more helpers into our lives. And with a calm mind, we’ll have a better sense of who and how to help— AND while it can be challenging to engage with strangers, it is often through conscious conversation that we get critical information at the right time.
Staying in the flow can be difficult at times—the many tasks and situations we face day-to-day can so easily pull us back into old habits—but by making meditation a daily priority, we can remember to remember. We can feel a sense of destiny about our mission, which makes it easier to meet our basic needs while at the same time staying clear about why we are here. In this way, it is always possible to get back into the flow.
Meditating With Intention
The physical mechanics of meditation can be varied, one can sit, stand, walk, or lie down. But to be effective, one must practice meditation in a precise way. The idea is to focus only on the intention, to feel quietly at peace within yourself, even feeling full of joy and love within yourself—regardless of what is occurring in your life. In essence, you are using the emotion of the love you find to heal your heart. It is the mantra that you intend to focus on and build in your consciousness. You are looking for a state of love. Love is our most natural and highest emotion but must be practiced and established over time as your primary emotion.
The next part of meditation practice is very important. If worry thoughts—or feelings of fear, anger or hurt—suddenly grab your attention, don’t react, merely notice them and return your focus on love and joy. It is key that you keep letting go each time your mind goes somewhere else, for as long as it takes until you can practice being centered and calm, without letting anything in your life, past or present, redirect you.
Over time, the centered and loving part of yourself becomes larger, and the chatter of your uncentered self lessens. And, your life will be more centered and spiritually connected in your daily activities. this is the great miracle and growth inducing result of meditation.
The only hard part is to stay committed to the process.
Once we become fully present, we notice that we have the power to control our reaction to our thoughts and emotions. We can cultivate love as our primary state of being.
In the beginning, it can be helpful to intentionally bring to mind whatever it is that reminds us of the feeling of love. Maybe it is a thought of parents, children, pets, friends, nature, our work, or whatever makes us grateful. But over time, we can generate a feeling of objectless love whenever we want. When we are able to live in a state of love, it brings a greater knowingness. This accesses an intuitive intelligence which won’t distort messages.
The guidance that comes to us through our enhanced intelligence literally protects us. We are better able to avoid physical danger and unhealthy lifestyle choices. Interactions in our personal relationships can be free of control dramas. Also, our neutral approach helping us identify synchronicities we can provide for others.
When we increase the level at which we’re recognising synchronistic messages, we see we are aided in discovering the answers to our life questions, and we evolve spiritually. As more people join this path, the collective spiritual consciousness is raised and, when in line with the Flow, we will all realize our true potential.
