I was sitting in the park waiting for my friend, Shane, and his daughter, Lotus (Trinity was her very first name). While I was sitting there patiently thinking of God, I heard a song from a specific bird, not like the rest. It was a special bird, with its own song. It sang like no other, but it was out of my sight.
Then I saw a group of birds swooping over the water, they were singing in unison with one voice, one song, one mind, a single song in perfect sync.
The birds were moving so fast, I was amazed by their synchronism, unexpectedly they surrounded me.
I could have touched them, but I sat still, patiently waiting for Shane and Trinity. The birds flew over my head, and abated, but one stayed behind. This bird was different, it was almost pure white with delicate spots and stripes.
This special one fluttered its wings in front of my face. It hovered there for a moment's time. I could feel the air around its wings on my face. It sang to me and I replied with a smile. I was filled with a peaceful silence that I hadn't felt in a long time. I wanted to hold it, and capture it for myself, but I sat still instead.
This special one flew up into the air, and joined a trio. They danced above the water for a short time, like old friends becoming reacquainted and then, suddenly to my amazement, the songbird seemed to vanish into the entire trio above the water. It simply vanished from my sight, but I could still hear its song.
I was astonished by what I had seen, but even more astonishing was what happened next.
The trio flew toward a new group of birds coming from the right of where I sat. This new group of birds seemed to be flying in an uncoordinated fashion, until the trio joined them. When the trio reached them, they all began to fly together playing and dancing in the air between the trees surrounding the water.
Then suddenly they were singing in a perfect mode, I heard music again, and they formed a perfect figure eight in a sideways fashion. They were flying so fast, but in perfect agreement, on a single path. Each one way in its own place, not caring to pass over the other, like the shape they were forming was deliberate. Then with a sudden burst of blinding speed they flew over the water, distorting its surface, and lifting small particles of water with them as they swooped upwards, and they flew away together.
They were so free, I thought of how free they must have felt... I was moved to a new state of mind by seeing this display of perfection.
It was then that I realized that, among other things, I had witnessed freedom within discipline. Let all praise be to the Most High... _________________ I am grateful for this new life of love and light. |

Welcome Tzadik12,
I am thankful for you cuz that was a lovely story. I have often wondered if birds are angels themselves. All this holiday season, the following song was on my mind;
Gone away...is the blue bird, here to stay...is the new bird. She sings a love song...as we go along ~ walking in a winter wonderland.
And yes, all glory be to God. _________________ God is Love |

That was indeed a beautiful story. Thanks for sharing.
Littlebird, pay attention to those songs that get stuck in your head. They actually have meaning for you. This one sounds like you are making some grand changes for the good.
Love,
Michelle |
