Hello,
I'm on my own little roller coaster at the moment.

In the past six months I have woken up to the fact that my relationship with my fiance and parents has been draining me, and experienced an amazing array of spiritual highs, as well as more grief than I've ever known.

I have celebrated the cancellation of my wedding (go figure), experienced some moments with my ex fiance that seemed more loving than what we knew previously, and weathered the storms of my parents and partner unleashing their anger on me. Also, I have found more emotional and spiritual intimacy than I have ever known in a relationship with some random guy from work. I am now expecting a child with my ex fiance who is still angry that our relationship as we knew it has been uprooted. I for one am thankful to be where I am at.

Such is life! What a comedy!

Love it all the way through. At the moment I am looking for a little peace. I have been asking the question 'why?' 'why is this all happening?'.
Thats when I picked up and started re-reading the Celestine prophecy.... I like it.

I made some different choices myself in my past and really made people, parents and have even made some strangers angry!!!

I came to a point in my life where I never ask why me again?

Now I ask why not? and why not me? I am worthy of my own freedom & of course have the right to own my own free will right? you bet!!! Very Happy

It is a fact that no-one likes a change in the status quo, when they were satisfied with the arrangement as it was, meagain (hope I spelt your name right Smile

).

Their behaviour often becomes more extreme at first, in order to get things back on the same old track again, until they realise that will not happen again.

The thing is, we all have the ability to influence the behaviour of others. They respond to the clues that we give and vice versa. Relationships are circular in nature. By changing your own behaviour, your family has no choice in that they must change their own, if you no longer give them the same clues. It is what happens.

All this is discussed in a book called The Dance of Anger by Harriet Lerner. Dr Lerner calls the extreme anger that your family are now showing as countermoves. Her book helped me enormously at a time when I was going through similar upheavals in my life.

I wish you the courage and strength to carry through the changes that you have begun to out in place. And I also wish you much joy and happiness with your baby, when he or she arrives.

hey meagain, be happy because thanks to Gods little miracles, every thing you need is inside you, including your soon to be born child. If this is your first you are about to find out just how big a miracle they are, embrace her for she is the future of our planet. Try adding some Red in your life it will help you feel grounded. Good luck with all and you have found your way here for a reason.

Hello Meagain,

It sounds like you made some steps to choose a healthier life for yourself and though it may have been hard to break away it will be worth it in the end. You should be proud that you stood up and started to take care of you. My thoughts are with you.
