How the Insights applied to my life.

My experiences arent exact but still, it's pretty cool. Thats why I like the movie so much, I can really see myself in it.

THE FIRST INSIGHT . . . A CRITICAL MASS
A new spiritual awakening is occurring in human culture, an awakening brought about by a critical mass of individuals who experience their lives as a spiritual unfolding, a journey in which we are led forward by mysterious coincidences.

1st Insight- On December 12th in 1985 when I was 19, the 101st Airborne Company that I was assigned to was wiped out in a plane crash returning from a mission in the middle-east. I missed this flight because my father died and I left the mission early. The guilt from surviving left me very disillusioned with life. I sought a spiritual meaning to my pain. A Catholic priest taught me how to meditate and I began to practice this “intense and sustained emotional longing for God” for several hours a day.


THE SECOND INSIGHT . . . THE LONGER NOW
This awakening represents the creation of a new, more complete worldview, which replaces a five-hundred-year-old preoccupation with secular survival and comfort. While this technological preoccupation was an important step, our awakening to life's coincidences is opening us up to the real purpose of human life on this planet, and the real nature of our universe.

2nd Insight- Began to read and study everything mystical including things outside the Catholic Faith.

THE THIRD INSIGHT . . . A MATTER OF ENERGY
We now experience that we live not in a material universe, but in a universe of dynamic energy. Everything extant is a field of sacred energy that we can sense and intuit. Moreover, we humans can project our energy by focusing our attention in the desired direction...where attention goes, energy flows...influencing other energy systems and increasing the pace of coincidences in our lives.

3nd Insight- Towards the end of 1988 when I tried to go to sleep, I would find myself floating above my bed in another body! It felt like this other body was on fire and filling up with boiling oil. It was horrible. Then after a few nights of this I surrendered to the divine and just trusted in the eternal. Immediately the pain ceased and while I was still out side of my body in another body, I was now in a body of what seemed slightly smaller than my normal one, it was made of pure white light and was wearing a hooded red robe. Spontaneous out of body experiences began after this. One second I would be lying on my bed or reading a book and I would be suddenly floating in an immaterial body identical to my normal one but looking down on my physical one.

THE FOURTH INSIGHT . . . THE STRUGGLE FOR POWER
Too often humans cut themselves off from the greater source of this energy and so feel weak and insecure. To gain energy we tend to manipulate or force others to give us attention and thus energy. When we successfully dominate others in this way, we feel more powerful, but they are left weakened and often fight back. Competition for scarce, human energy is the cause of all conflict between people.

Definately, 1993 when I went Vegan and began to seriously meditate. I think it was also about this time that I decided to dedicate my life totally to seeking the "truth".


THE FIFTH INSIGHT . . . THE MESSAGE OF THE MYSTICS
Insecurity and violence ends when we experience an inner connection with divine energy within, a connection described by mystics of all traditions. A sense of lightness--buoyancy--along with the constant sensation of love are measures of this connection. If these measures are present, the connection is real. If not, it is only pretended.

My 5th Insight experience began when I started to meditate seriously for 4-8 and sometimes 12 hours a day back in late 1993 and 1994. I was seeking a cure to the spontaneous out-of-body experiences and figured maybe if I became one with God I could stop them.

I came home to Michigan for a vacation in July. I was experiencing an extreme desire for God. This combined with the feeling that I was very far away from Him. So much anxiety filled me that I was always nearly on the verge of tears. It was so intense I almost canceled my vacation.

My mother and I began a trip the day after my arrival. We headed north. Memories of the stops we made on our way to the U.P. (upper peninsula) are lost to me. The anguish was all consuming and allowed little clear thinking. I tried to hide the pain as much as I could. I don’t think I was very good company.

I remember wanting to visit Tequamenon Falls in the U.P. I recalled visiting this place with my parents when I was young and loving it.

We arrived at the falls before it officially opened on July twenty sixth. This was perfect since no one was to be seen. As soon as we began to walk down the silent wooded paths I felt more at peace than I had in months.

We came to the Upper Falls and I was completely transfixed at their majesty. The feeling of peace deepened considerably after this. Next, we followed the trail that led to the base of the falls. Halfway down the trail the whole universe exploded.

It was incredible. My normal vision was replaced with a new vision. Instead of my fleshly eyes, I was seeing from my spiritual center, my soul. This spiritual center within me was the same spiritual center within all things. This “Unity” filled me with awe and peace. I also seemed to be eternally in the now. I wasn’t thinking or feeling anymore. I was just being.

Looking at the trees did not reveal leaves and bark. I saw an explosion of light. It began where the seed sprouted originally. The explosions then flowed upwards and downwards. I saw into the earth. It was a golden-hued transparency. The trees were like flowing golden fountains of living light continually being born anew every moment. It seemed purely accidental that water and dirt were carried along with the exploding light. It did not diminish the glory of it in any way though. I thought modern science was absurd because it studies the accidental shadow and not the actual substance.

I knew everything from the beginning of time. I saw it all. At the same time I was so peace filled that I did not desire to know anything in particular. This was the supreme ultimate that I had been seeking for so long, this was taiji.

With this expanded perspective human “understanding” seemed worthless. All the books I had read paled miserably in comparison to this. All the spiritual anguish I had been experiencing vanished. I felt desireless, completely free and at peace with all.

It was as if I woke up and was seeing reality for the first time. I saw all people as complex animals. Ruled by instinct and group mind. Short lives and even shorter memories.

My realization was that people are blind to true reality and are just sleepwalking their way through life just like I had been. We are unaware that we are slaves to our own feelings, passions, and desires. Blind to reality as it truly is, like I was seeing it now. I was released from this universe of light after a few minutes.

At first, when I was released, all I did was begin walking down the trail again. I don’t think my mother realized anything unusual had happened. Perhaps she thought I was just admiring the beauty of the woods. I was far too awestruck to notice. Even the smallest things held me in enraptured fascination. After this the out of body experiences stopped.


THE SIXTH INSIGHT . . . CLEARING THE PAST
The more we stay connected, the more we are acutely aware of those times when we lose connection, usually when we are under stress. In these times, we can see our own particular way of stealing energy from others. Once our manipulations are brought to personal awareness, our connection becomes more constant and we can discover our own growth path in life, and our spiritual mission--the personal way we can contribute to the world.

I went hermit at this stage and was meditating 4 hours a day. This was a painful time of releasing past stuff.

In 1998 I began an all or nothing fast. For twenty one days I ate nothing and drank only water. I went through three trials at this time that were uber-catharic.

The first trial of the present was my mind was flooded with vast magickal knowledge including the ultimate secrets of Taijiquan. After a few hours I realized this was settling on a booby prize when my real was union with God so I chose to let that go and continue my meditation on God and not on gaining super powers.

My second trial was of the past and it started with a flood of past-life memories of being a fallen angel seeking redemption. This too after a time I realized as delusion and let that go knowing that I am just a man.

Finally the last trial was of the future and I saw my entire life as building up to this moment. I saw my destiny was to unite all religions under me and I was going to bring war and death to unbelievers and become a God. This too I thankfully recognized as delusional and I let that go also. On the twenty first day I had an epiphany that the true method of return to Spirit is by increasing our sensitivity to Spirit’s still small voice through loving service to all living beings.



THE SEVENTH INSIGHT . . . ENGAGING THE FLOW
Knowing our personal mission further enhances the flow of mysterious coincidences as we are guided toward our destinies. First we have a question; then dreams, daydreams, and intuitions lead us towards the answers, which usually are synchronistically provided by the wisdom of another human being.


In 1999 on March 12th I had my final rapture experience. When it began I immediately surrendered my will to the divine within and at the end of the tunnel in what seemed to be the center of my brain I saw a kaleidoscope of colors, reds, blues, yellows and greens. It was very beautiful. Like a spinning red flaming swastika on a blue circle with a green background. Within the embrace of each arm were four swirling yin/yang like patterns. Outside the large swastika and yin/yang’s were smaller swastikas, spinning also.

I 2000 I had an nearly uncontrollable urge to share what I had learned on the "Path" and began to teach Tai Chi and Meditation.

THE EIGHTH INSIGHT . . . THE INTERPERSONAL ETHIC
We can increase the frequency of guiding coincidences by uplifting every person that comes into our lives. Care must be taken not to lose our inner connection in romantic relationships. Uplifting others is especially effective in groups where each member can feel energy of all the others. With children it is extremely important for their early security and growth. By seeing the beauty in every face, we lift others into their wisest self, and increase the chances of hearing a synchronistic message.

I'd place this in 2004 when my students started calling me "master" and I realized this would harm both them and me. I also realized that I had taught all I had to teach and to keep them around or me around them would arrest both our develoments and I stopped teaching Tai Chi.


THE NINTH INSIGHT . . .THE EMERGING CULTURE
As we all evolve toward the best completion of our spiritual missions, the technological means of survival will be fully automated as humans focus instead on synchronistic growth. Such growth will move humans into higher energy states, ultimately transforming our bodies into spiritual form and uniting this dimension of existence with the after-life dimension, ending the cycle of birth and death.

Not here yet!


THE TENTH INSIGHT . . . HOLDING THE VISION
The Tenth Insight is the realization that throughout history human beings have been unconsciously struggling to implement this lived spirituality on Earth. Each of us comes here on assignment, and as we pull this understanding into consciousness, we can remember a fuller birth vision of what we wanted to accomplish with our lives. Further we can remember a common world vision of how we will all work together to create a new spiritual culture. We know that our challenge is to hold this vision with intention and prayer everyday.


THE ELEVENTH INSIGHT . . . EXTENDING PRAYER FIELDS
The Eleventh Insight is the precise method through which we hold the vision. For centuries, religious scriptures, poems, and philosophies have pointed to a latent power of mind within all of us that mysteriously helps to affect what occurs in the future. It has been called faith power, positive thinking, and the power of prayer. We are now taking this power seriously enough to bring a fuller knowledge of it into public awareness. We are finding that this prayer power is a field of intention, which moves out from us and can be extended and strengthened, especially when we connect with others in a common vision. This is the power through which we hold the vision of a spiritual world and build the energy in ourselves and in others to make this vision a reality.

Time and my own journey don't allow me to tell the whole long story here in one shot.

I got into CP in 1995 by some real coincidences.

1st i read the book 2nd i went back reread it and took notes estracting the insights only from the story.

3rd i started to work with first insight and then found the "Experiential Guide" I read only about the 1st insight and started to do the exercises. i kept a coincidence journel and took that unplanned day 2x as described in the guide. I had tons of coincidencs on these 2 different days, including running into the same person at each place. i just kep working w/ and playing with that insight 4 awhile.

THE FIRST INSIGHT . . .
i dont really note A CRITICAL MASS

A new spiritual awakening is occurring in human culture,

but by the same token those who now own 98 % of it are seeking to keep it tied down and manage it [because they fear losing it]

In fact via dumbing down [and total control of media and education] they seem well on their way to creating their ideal citizen'the soviet style worker' ,who is trained to serve the state ,reports strange behaviours of their neighbours and fellow workers ,omnipotant policing , restricted info

An awakening brought about by a critical mass of individuals who experience their lives as a spiritual unfolding ,is not what they seem to be seeking ,in fact it seems to be a matter of fear that they actually rule for true enlightened people , when they would perfer machine men ,living by the clock, working till they drop , uncomplaining unthinking machines.

On a journey in which we are led forward by mysterious coincidences is a very thing they can control,
they can make us spontainiously decide to do anything , buy repitition of it on their news programing [or talk shows, or hundreds of other means they have available based on research like pavlovs dogs, and other social studdies , that give apparent power to some , and perpetual servitude to the serfs.


THE SECOND INSIGHT . . . the ever THE LONGER ever more productive NOW to keep us focused on the mundane [not the miraculous or wonderous][except if it be their [our heroes ,achievments or their people [their sports stars , their achievments [their new laws , their new concern [or their new tax, their latest war , or their latest sceme ,or the latest beatup.


This awakening represents the creation of a new, more complete but simplistic worldview, which replaces a five-hundred-year-old preoccupation with secular survival and comfort.

While this technological preoccupation was an important step, our awakening to life's coincidences is opening us up to the real purpose of human life on this planet,[volenary servitude] and the real nature of our universe is subdued and torn down, same culture , same buildings , same fads , same latest teqnique , same latest fear.


THE THIRD INSIGHT . . . A MATTER OF ENERGY , keeping the energies they can control, while letting us fear our use of it is causing ALL the worlds problems

We now experience that we live in a material universe,
in a universe of dynamic but totally man made energy.

Everything extant is a field of sacred energy that we can sense and intuit yet never really apply to our reality , that dosnt explain but by vague promises [of say a cure for cancer or how pills can cure all ills , or a drink a day is good for the tax man ,that smoking is the worser evil, and smokers the cause of all our problems].

Moreover, we humans can project our energy by focusing our attention in their desired direction's
its as easy as giving us consumer needs ,its as easy as giving us limited tv programing , its as easy as giving us the simple things that dont meet our real needs yet feed the multinational consumer adgenda to cash in on the latest fad

...where our attention goes, our energy flows...and our money goes
by influencing other energy systems and increasing the pace of coincidences in our lives ,they can shape us into believing there is a terrorist on every bus, that giving up our traditional rights can make us safer, that police dont raise revenue [our fines , taxes are deserved.


THE FOURTH INSIGHT . . .
THE STRUGGLE FOR POWER
Too often humans cut themselves off from the greater source of this energy and so feel weak and insecure ,so we have the quick fix, the latest drug, the latest additive, the latest diet ,the latest market fad, the latest realiable fear ,the latest blame, the latest promotion.

To gain energy we tend to manipulate or force others to give us attention and thus energy ,you see it on the news each night ,you see it in the cop shows on tv, you see it on the talk backs.

When we successfully dominate others in this way, we feel more powerful, but they are left weakened and often fight back ,but fighting back dosnt work, the media wont cover it , or reports it according to their spin.

Competition for scarce oil resource ,competing for food, being the first with the latest phone, human energy is the cause of all conflict between people ,and by limiting the badges of coolness ,by creating a percieved rarity ,or special gifts , or some 'free' thing [gift] with a major purchase or the layalty program, or discount.

THE FIFTH INSIGHT . . .
THE MESSAGE OF THE MYSTICS
