Hello....

I really don't know where to start.

I was born and raised a Lutheran. I believed quite deeply in God, in Heaven and Hell, in the saints, etc. Then when I was in high school I became an atheist. I'm not sure entirely why, but I think it was because of depression. I'm prone to it. And whenever I would get depressed, I would think that a loving god would never do that...I mean, I've never hurt anyone in any way I could think of. I was always the nurturing one, the caring one, the sensitive one. I never understood why a loving god would let me be depressed, so I figured, there must not be one.

Well over the years, I became less of an atheist and more of a Diest. I really don't know what I am. I am looking for a spiritual meaning out of life. I realize that I don't have all of the answers, and that there must be something more out there. I watched the movie recently, and tried to think of the coincidences, the "synchrocity" in my life, and I really can't think of any. I know I need some kind of spiritual guidance, and I haven't been able to find any. My life really does feel voided of meaning and purpose. In that way, the movie reached me. Is the book more of a guide to this? What have been your experiences?

Hi Michael,

It may not feel that way just now, but you are your own guide in life. All you have to do is want to find meaning in your life and you will make it happen... you've already started.

Give yourself time and space to enjoy your journey... it really is worth it.

There are a lot of people here at different levels of the same situation.
