seeing auras

Hi. I have a question about auras. I was just doing some research before I watced the movie or read the book on auras and how to see them. When I watched the movie, I couldn't believe they were talking about it, what a coincidence. Anyway, I put alot of trust in my Angels and spirit guides and I asked them to help me see auras. One night last week I had a dream that I was picking beans and potatoes in a field. I woke up and couldn't understand why. That day I happenend to read in the book that vegetables, like beans are good for you. I had my answer about my dream. I thought well, the Angels are telling me to eat more vegetables.
Then the next morning was really strange. I have 4 kids, ages 12 to 4. I had to drive my 12 yr. old to school that morning and get everyone ready. After we dropped her off and came home, the other kids were eating breakfast and I was getting their stuff ready for them to go to school. All of a sudden I started seeing what looked like spots all over the place. And I got really nervous. I'm a hypochrondric(not sure of spelling) to begin with. I thought I had a brain tumor or something. I was so nervous I wasn't even thinking of auras until a few minutes later. I was seeing colors of blue, violet, pink, etc. I thought I felt fine, I knew I didn't feel sick like I was going to pass out. I kept blinking my eyes, rubbing them hoping it would go away. Then I went in my room to sit down and on the outside of my right eye I could see blue and purple/violet colors a few inches from my face swirling around. I put my hands up near my eyes to kind of block it. I was hoping it would disappear. Then I said to the Angels, if your trying to help me see that these things are real, I get it and you need to make it stop because I need to drive my kids to school. Then like a minute later it went away.

I've been very busy the last week since that happened and have not had the chance to take the time to really look for them. I think I could sense a white cloud type thing around myself or sometimes a tree, but no colors like that day. It was pretty I have to admit. I wish I hadn't been so nervous, but I don't know how to get it back. I'm pretty sure I've seen the energy fields around my index fingers, but thats it.

Anyone ever had this sort of experience? Do you think I really did see them? I know I'm not losing my mind. I'm perfectly as sane as anyone. Any advice or info. would be helpful. Thanks.

Hello! Do not let me scare you but-----the first warning signs of a mild stroke are losing awareness for a few moments, seeing colors like you describe, and --(forgetfulness or confusion)-- and or numbness on the left side of the body!
Please check out The American Heart Association's web site for futher info! (Good Luck and Good Health!)--- Just be on the safe side because this happened to my (hubby) one day--- (He was stressed out at work)!
His mom ---already had a mild stroke a few years prior--so always check it out to be on the safe side! (Love, Jennypoo )

I want to clear up any confusion my post might of caused. I thought I was clear in my description of what I saw. I had no confusion, did not lose any type of awareness, and I had no numbness anywhere on my body. I'm 37 yrs. old and very healthy. I feel perfectly fine. I was conversing w/ my kids at the time and doing my normal activities when I saw these energy fields. I just wanted to know if anyone has ever seen anything like that. If thats what energy fields look like. Just wanted to clear that up.

I felt compelled to post a reply to a post I wouldn't normally respond to, because I've got a thing about the number 37. Don't ask me what it is, it's just always been there for me. So you being 37 and Jennypoo's post being her 37th (I know that will change with her next one)...

Anyway, I think our energy/connection is realised in many different ways. Writing this post, I feel a tingle throughout my body, because of the 37 connection; whenever I think of my sister, who died last year, I feel a presence, I feel stronger and at peace . So, you can imagine, can't you, here I sit tingling and smiling, calm and yet strong, all because of my connections.

These feelings are unique to me, just as yours will be unique to you. Don't be afraid of them, enjoy their presence and they will enable you to grow.

I can see Auras. I saw them better when I was younger. When I was in college, in a particularly dull lecture, I'd let my body relax, and mind wander, and Voila' I'd see energy patterns. They were easiest to see just outlining the body. Dull speakers had small Auras, and energetic speakers tended to have more pronounced Auras. Plants are good to practice on, thier Auras don't jump around like animls/people do.

Some people see Aura's in colors, and the colors can have meaning. Some people just see energy. Others see the Etheric, or Physical, or Mental or Astral energy bodies. Some people see 'other' energy patterns. Sometimes you see the same thing eyes open or closed. Sometimes you can see the Chakra's, and they really do look like the classic pictures. Sometimes there is no description for what one sees.

As the old saying goes, be carefull what you ask for, you just might get it?

I think you were seeing energy patterns. Some people would call the Auras and some would call them something different. Still sounds like energy patterns to me. It seems you work well with non-physical guides, so what happened to you seems normal to me. And yes, I've been through similiar experiences. Your guides won't push you into an uncomfortable space, they are trying to help you do what you asked for. Don't be shocked by what you might see. Also remember that you can see things you don't ahve a frame of reference for, so don't automatically interpret them as something 'bad'.

You will always know when you see an Angel, the Love will wash over you so thick it can litterally bring you to your knees it's so intense. I think they try to avoid that, causes too many religious mis-interpretations. They hug you only as much as you can tolerate, it's rather addictive.

It's kinda intresting, I know I could see auras when I was 4 clearly. I think I even knew what they ment. Then I was told it wasn't there. I saw them less and less because I beleaved them.

I still see auras today, but not like I did when I was young. I just see shades (black & white) rarely collor. Just remember don't be afraid of what others say is "abnormal". After all the ones through-out history that made noteable discoveries and such were almost always "exentric".

First please accept my most sincere apology about my lack of clarity pertaining to the colors you described in your post Katiefl!!!

I sent back my reply because like christ I too love you!!!

I also knew how afraid--- I felt the day ---MY husband told me about the (almost)--- exact same experience ---he had at work and of course being a (hypocondriac--- Myself---or so it was--- once said of me---(forgive my spelling too!!!)--- I just noted the stroke connection in my husband's family and what I had recently learned about the spots and colors being related--and--I- in no way meant to offend you or suggest that you were not a healthy person!!!

I certainly know that --I personally having 20 major life-saving operations ---should have been more clear--- about what I to-was trying to relate--to you--in my own reply!!!

So very sorry for the confusion and I really was just trying to share the new stroke related information I personally had just aquired-

I had no prior knowledge of stroke warning signs being related to aura's and spots or colors (esp. after reading your question and realising you have children (special gifts from God)
I know this because-(I could never conceive a child of my own due to my health problems.
Count your blessings everyday that you are a healthy and very lucky 37 year old mother it truly is a heavenly gift to have received that kind of goodness from god.
--so clearly your Angels were communicating that day with you as you described in your post!!!
I did also have a tramatic experience of my own after a botched operation left me with a severe life threating complication where while I lay dyingof Gahn Green-due to a mistake my obgyn during surgery had un-knowingly made---the G. Green was rapidly spreading through my body and it destroys any organs or tissues it touches and according to medical opinions
--this destruction never can be repaired nor will it never heal!!!
I saw so many beautiful and frighting colors while I lay dying and begging God to end my life or restore me ---I had no idea that I was sick at this time
---the doctor said I needed therapy and it was nothing he did wrong
I honestly was living a nightmare equal to hell on earth and my health Insurance had cancelled due to my many surgeries
-- so I knew God would reveal the purpose unto me later
as I lived in that awful condition for the next 3 years with only a prayer and a little cash
I went out and found medical doctors who charged me very little
just to help me out
(keeping me alive and able to function
until I could regain my strength and some from of health insurance)
I have first hand knowledge of spots and colors and visions of course prior to these health scares.
I now know why God had me and my husband (who by the way--is healthy and no stroke had occured either for him)
Thanks and praise be to God in christ for these blessings!!!)
GOD put me thru/ hugh tests
so he could show me
I can handle anything and live with g. Green 3 yrs
(No one lives with G. green longer than 6 mo.-1year-unless of course it's a god given MIRACLE---Like what happened for me---so once again please just know I meant only the best in my reply---and who knows ---perhaps

When I first came back to this site last month, I was posting from my soul, knowing it was about the unconditional expression, the sharing.

Lately, I feel more compelled, more driven, more clear. Then I hesitate so that I do not offend the poster or overstep their request. Yet, I want to continue to express my soul as it is moved to share == Important for my growth and healing.

When I first read this post I immediately thought of the mild migraines I get occasionally. They don't hurt, they just make me kindof blind for awhile. Like I just looked at a bright light and traumatized my retina. but they don't go away upon request.
It's very difficult for another to interpret what you saw, so it's ultimately up to you to discern the whisper.

I had the vision of auras drummed out of me by society for a long time. I didn't pay attention to them because "You're Nuts" stopped me. But I never stopped seeing them, just ignored them.
I see auras, not with my eyes, but more with my whole being. It's surprising to me how much they resemble the northern lights, without the movement. When I'm working on a person, I often see chakras as colored bars that extend through the body's plain. Often I can tell where a body needs adjusting by how these chakra pains align to each other. When the Pipe I carry was blessed by the Elders, I saw tiny points of blue/white light appear from out of the cosmos around me and fill the stone of the bowl until it glowed. I have seen these lights before in other native American celebrations I have been Blessed to be part of, particularly in the Sweat Lodges, and vision quests.
Your helpers are opening your 'eyes' to the reality we push aside, mainly due to lack of knowledge.
Just heed Ratus' advice, 'be careful what you ask for, you might get it'. This is something repeated over and over again in the sweat lodge. Seeing the life force isn't always pretty. When you begin to see how cruelly people struggle for power and take from those whom have greater needs than they, it can really be disturbing. Then again, it shows us what needs prayer.
I believe we'd all agree how much this website helps to understand and empower each other. Thank you.
