Hello
I would like to ask you who's music inspires you..makes you alive...makes you awake?
For me, it is Cousteau music.
It has followed me through some seemingly bad times. The dark turned to bright and the tears suddenly turned to tears of joy, no matter the income wasn't as wished at the moment. The music of this group helped me find a meaning of certain events, and today, when I remember them, there is always a smile on my face.

Hi Conica,
I am more of a song person. Certain songs speak to me and I tend to pick one for the moment that sort of defines me. But as for the most spiritually uplifting music that I have come across I would say that was Enya. Her music is quite beautiful.

| for me, i go on a song-by song basis, if i hear a song that speaks to me, i get it, but one song that has stayed with me for a while is Here I Am, by Brian Adams.(the version from Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron. saw the film when my cousins were visiting, and it just rung a chord, you know?) |

Hi, I'm new on here and just been looking through all the forum. My favourate music is Mike Rowlands "Silver Wings". Its such a beautiful CD to listen to.It really seems to connect you to the source.I'm a healer and I do my healing to this music. Its wonderful to be swept away with the melody and feel really relaxed and a peace with yourself.
Love and light, Heidi. _________________ The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeing new landscapes but in having new eyes. |

I think the most spiritually inspiring CD I've heard is 'Atlantis' by David Arkenstone. _________________ Any wish, if truthful can become reality |

Check out Shawn Gallaway he has written some pretty inspiring stuff. He has also written the theme songs for New Energy Movement, Interplay International, Go Gratitude, The Peace Alliance, Men's Leadership Alliance and The Krystal Planet. I think you will really enjoy the uplifting feeling you get from hearing his stuff. He is also working on a song for my company H.E.A.L.

Hi Guys,
I don't know why, but I was just sitting downstairs listening to Coldplay's X & Y and thought of this post.
I find the lyrics teeming with life's questions and answers... no surpise why I like them!
Cheers,
Pat |

Hey, many of the songs on here do resonate with me. For years I have been posting in random music forums seeking for truly inspiring songs for me and haven't found any with the spiritual edge. Soundtracks from movies tend to do it for me which may be do to the strong images I associate with the music from the movie. I can totally relate to the Spirit the Stallion soundtrack!
I am a song person also. Certain songs reach me on a subconscious level like no others. Here are a few:
1.) Clubbed to Death-Rob Dougan (Matrix soundtrack)
2.) Now We Are Free- Lisa Gerrard
3.) With or Without You-U2
4.) Ameno-Era
5.) Dionysus- Jocylyn Pook
6.) Don't Stop Believing-Journey
7.) Love Comes Again-DJ Tiesto (the only trance/techno I REALLY enjoy)
8.) Deliverance-Yanni
9.) Shadow of the Day-Linkin park
10.) Lux Aeuterna-Clint Mansell
11.) Message for the Queen-Tyler Bates
12.) O Fortuna-Carmina Burana
13.) A Whole New World-From Aladdin
14.) You'll Be In My Heart-Phil Collins
15.) Don't Give Up, You Are Loved-Josh Groban
My subconscious mind doesn't care what type of music genre the song is from, but as soon as I hear it, it inspires my being. Visual images, goals, thoughts of the unachievable/ impossible being achieved. It all happens with these songs.
The songs recommended above resonate with me. Looks like I've found the right forum this time _________________ Pessimists find difficulty in every opportunity. Optimists find opportunity in every difficulty. |

i tried to list once the songs that gave me energy
but i soon realised i was only listing them to get them delisted
http://www.playlist.com/playlist/user/6206203
plus the best songs wernt there
any i did find were quickly taken down
but the energy i found breathe's out of the best music
but there is poor me music [that sucks energy out
as well as death music that only pumps up our negative [or fears or hates or bias ]
its quite complicated
demons suck up the demonic
angels reveal gods good thoughts
[it begins with us visualising death [or fear] that allows them in
as we chose [for good or evil]
the songs come straight from either heaven or hell
ask the songwriters them selves
they hear them before they write them
so i usually avoid the gross death metal type grunge
[but each to their own]
the pleasing thing is our music choice predicts our after being only in part
but hells music is raelly heard in heaven
heaven music never heard in hell
anyhow thanks for reminding me of the list
boy that takes me back
it was only a rough list
i was planning to refine it
but when the songs i did pick were removed i just quit
thinking why point it out clearer
if the negative just gutted my lists anyhow
anyhow
cheers all
love music [it feeds energy ANYTIME]
get up and dance
shine on |

My all time favorite music is Widespread Panic.
"Every piece he performed also had affinity with the next, a secret connection. Everything he played was full of faith, surrender, and devotion. Yet not devout after the fashion of churchgoers and pastors, devout the way pilgrims and mendicants were in the Middle Ages, devout with unconditional surrender to a universal feeling that transcends all confessions." |

EVERYTHING!!! Music in general. But it depends on the mood I'm in. Jason Mraz is a big one for me right now. His CD "We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things" has some great uplifting jams. I also love Enya, Natalie Merchant's "Wonder," LeAnn Womack's "I hope you dance," and Sarah McLachlan (sp?) "Angel." Baroque music is wonderful, too. It strikes a familiar chord somewhere in. I can just be walking casually then something comes on my MP3 player and my step lightens and quickens to the beat of the music and I lose myself in it completely. It's an amazing feeling. I'm surprised James doesn't explore the spiritual and energetic effects of music more in his narratives. Music is such a ffundamental part of who we are as beings. _________________ Smiles and Sunshine 4ever,

Jonathan Goldman.
His music is truly amazing. He focuses on the healing power of sound, it is truly beyond words.
My favorite is The Lost Chord which I use when I do reiki - awesome. |
