hi everyone

I am truly amazed at the amount of reading u folks are able to do! And so glad to be part of this group. It is so nice and comforting to know tht there are lots of ppl who have noble and higher thoughts in this chaotic world.

Presently, our world seems to be full of war-mongering leaders bent on destroying our beautiful world and dividing ppl, so i despair....

I am yet to read C P, will do so soon....

meanwhile, some i like to mention here are

the Bhagavat Gita, As it is, by by A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada;

How to know God, by Deepak Chopra, (currently reading)

many of deepak chopra books are for our times and speak our language

thanks

will visit again soon Very Happy

Hi Everyone,

I'll add a couple of books to the mix as well.

Peace is the Way by Deepak Chopra is a good book.

My all-time favorite book is "The Road Less Traveled" by M. Scott Peck.

I've been reading lots of books about early Christianity and the Gnostics lately.

And of course I really enjoyed the Da Vinci Code. Did anyone else read it and what did you think of it?

I know exactly how this goes... down the rabbit hole... Wink

Other things that keep me open minded are Feng Shui, Yoga and Meditation, and the constant learning that comes with asking questions. So for books, check out:

The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life by Drunvalo Melchizedek

And I was just introduced to the writings of Eckhart Tolle, http://www.eckharttolle.com/home.php

Great thread here , full of a whole lotta good reading!

wow! i never imagined that when i started this thread it will become a catalouge of a library of spiritual readings. thanks people..

a lot of good books are appearing now in our lives. this, i believe, shows our thirst for knowledge and for something spiritual. with all of these, i believe a spiritual revolution is slighty emerging. try to notice the Da Vinci Code, and now the Gospel of Judas...

i smell something coming...

God bless everyone!

So many books...

I also say:

The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle

Eye of the Lotus by Richard Jelusich (Psychology of Chakras)

Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance

And movies:

Waking Life

What the Bleep do we know?

But mostly, listen to your heart. It is the best way to know the truth...

This is not really on topic as a recommendation of a book, but I'm hoping others here will be able to tell me the title of a book I've forgotten. It came out about the same time as CP. The most info I can remember is that it was written by a woman who claimed to have been either kidnapped or taken in by nomadic Australian aboriginals who nobody from the outside world knows of. They know of "us" and avoid us like we're the the plague. All their foods and medicines were from the wild. She remarks at one point that she can't understand how the aboriginals were able to let flies crawl in and out of their noses, to which they answered that the flies were doing a service by cleaning their noses. I think also, there was mention of a tree she was shown that is supposed to be extinct and by coincidence or not, apparently scientists did find a live tree in Australia at that time that was supposed to extinct. There was some controversy about whether the woman was telling the truth. Anybody know?

Good morning,

I read a book once about buisness management, by a man called charles handy, he at the time in the top four of the buisness management gurus.
The reason i read it was the front cover and the name of it, its called the hungry spirit.

It had a picture on the front cover of a bonsai tree, it taught me a lot of meaningful stuff to do with life, and put love in a different perspective (unconditional positive regard).

I hope you read it, that was my first book that led me to the celestine pack.
I would like to say that this web page has given me some real inspiration since ive bin here.

Bye for now.

Hi Eyeman,

The men are from mars and women are from venus is too stereotypical in parts for me in my opinion. However, it does have some good tips about writing love notes and accepting each others No's. If you read it with an open mind and see what it triggers in you it may help as any book would help to trigger your inner feelings and that is the key about any book.

As for you asking your partner to read the celestine prophecy this would also stimulate her thinking.

Good old communication of our feelings however, works wonders morethan anything. Sitting down together and being real and saying lets decide how we want our relationship to be and making up rules that work for both of you is much better than John Gray can teach you. ONE day I am going to find someone I can do this with? But, right now I am working on my love affair with myself Lol!!

Love and light
