Give me that old time religion!

well rishi i do understand what you are trying to say and i agree with some of it! but i want to adress something you said that i find to be untrue and comical! please understand that i am not making fun but because of the nature of my lifes work i know it to be so untrue that if you were right than my entire life is one big wasted lie and i know myself to be in the truth! you said that God and nature have no religion! i say that they do! as i said to me religion is a relationship with God! God has a relationship with himself, and with us! nature has a relationship with God, and we have a relationship with God! and i have often heard it said that in heaven no religion exists! well yes it does! not only a relationship with God exits but so does ritual including incense robes tools alters and so on! ever sense i was very little i have had the gift of second sight! i have visions and medicine dreams, and i see angels and demons, and fairies, and totems and so on! when i was very young the angels began teaching me about their religion! it was the religion of the angels that was given to adam and eve in the garden of eden! it was this religion that they carried with them upon their expulsion from the garden that they passed onto their sons and daughters who in turn passed it onto to other people! the religion had prophecies and symbols! it was these things that got passed onto to all of humanity, and then after the tower of bable when the races split, the contenents split, and all the different languages were born from the one origional human cultural language; the stories and the religion got changed and mutated with each distinct culture! they all said the same thing, but said it differently! and then wars happend because people all said the same things useing different words! yet i think it was our destiny to be divided and to war with eachothr, untill the day that we all stop fighting and find unity; but we had to learn this great lesson! when this happens we will once again be one humanity, though we will all still keep our languages and cultures as a reminder that we are all different and we are destined to fight if we don't remember, to honor, accept, tolerate, and appreciate eachothers differences! when we fight no one wins! when we listen then healing begins! we will be a true global society one day, but we will be haeled first, and we will always remember and never be divided by petty things again! at least that is what the angels have always told me! i believe them! all religions are born from the religion of the angels! all rituals are born from the rituals of the angels! we must remember as humans that even though we seem to be favored by God in our relationship with him, that other beings had a relationship first! humanity and the angels learn from eachother the scripture says! from what the angels hae taught me, especially in our healing work together this is true! man didn't make religion, man simply twisted the religion in his misunderstanding and confusion of the true nature of things! that was our destiny then, and our destiny now is to find the healing to unite us again and to learn that we are one in truth and always will be! thank you for your imput rishi, and thank you tom for that marvelous insight! and alx thank you for that most interesting interpritation of the devil story! i think it sheds a very interesting light on how human beings like that poor misguided being simply hurt ourselves doing the same thing in our rlationship to God and with eachother, and most assuredly with nature! i look foreward to further discussion!

I has been said: "God has no religion and neither does truth. Is is PEOPLE who make-up religions." I believe God gave people simple truths, even commandments to follow. Thus religion was borne- the act of following God's commands day to day. The act of following the promptings of the Holy Ghost day by day. The act of thanking God daily. The act of speaking with Him daily. Prophets have received the rules in direct revelation from God and have even spoken directly with the Lord- face to face- as a man speaks with another man.



It's a matter or vocabulary and given credit to whom the credit is due- thou shalt have no other gods... love God with all thy heart mind and strength.



After Moses came down from the mount with the higher law of the Holy Preisthood, he found that the people were wickedly worshipping idols and giving credit to things that were not God. So instead of receiving what God had intended, Israel was given a lesser law of ordinances to perform in preparation for the simple truth of Jesus Christ and the blessing as His children to inherit His kingdom.



Different religions developed out of the Dark ages when the Holy Priesthood was taken from the earth because the people rejected Christ's teachings and killed the disciples. The Word of God was misinterprested and many plain and precious truths were lost. At this time men did take it upon themselves to make decisions about God's will for themselves.



The people desired a restoration of the simple truth. A new direct connection with God- they needed a new prophet.



Without direct revelation from God even gnostics don't have all the answers. Have the "gnostics" ever asked about the truth of Jesus Christ with an open mind? The sciptures are an amazing work that hold numerous lessons that require committment and hold those responsible who find that God reveals the truth when they have true intentions. Ask and it shall be given. With open hearts to the possibility that it might be true... with faith, God can manifest the truth of it to you by the power of the Holy Ghost- then you too can have direct revelation from God. THen there's no religion telling you what you ought to do. Then you realize that there's a true religion and that what is teaches is truth- the same truth that God gives you when you ask.
