hi to all,i am a chef by trade but have had to give up work to look after my wife.I`ve known for some time now that our diet needs changing, basically cutting our meat intake down to only once aweek to start with.I do actually grow my own veg and herbs and also keep chickens. So we would be really grareful for any recipes you would be willing to share and ov course will share my recipes if any one is interested.Love to you all.Namaste Drew _________________ Learning today to help others tomorrow |

If you can, I would suggest getting a juicer. They can be had for $60 or so. You can play around with combinations of fruits and vegetables. There are many recipes online. I have been doing organic granny smith apples (2) with organic carrots (3) and about an inch of fresh organic ginger root. It's pretty tasty and feels really good inside the belly. Ginger can be a problem for sensitive stomachs sometimes so you may want to start with a smaller amount of that.
I personally believe we can heal ourselves with raw and organic foods. One of the things I would point you to is: www.gerson.org and the film 'The Beautiful Truth'. I watched it recently on Netflix's streaming service. I haven't been able to find it for free online. Netflix however, if you have it or can get it, has an amazing library of documentary films that you can stream to your computer as a part of their $9 or $10 monthly subscription.
I hope this is of some help.
Best wishes for you and your wife.

Hi All & thanks for having me.
In Australia there is a celebrity chef who has some great vegitarian & vegan recipes. Her name is Janella Purcell.
You can find her recipes by going to:
www.lifestyle.com.au
click on lifestyle food & then recipes & search for Janella Purcell
The website is 100% free and she does a wonderful promotion of healthy food in a mainstream tv show called "Good chef, bad chef".
Give her your support please & I hope you like her recipes as much as I do! |
