The book fell into my lap in the fall of 1994. I was having lunch with a friend discussing some ideas about spirituality, and she recommended the book to me because I sounded like I would "get it". The next day, I was walking down the stairs in my home and found the book laying at the bottom of the banister! It turns out that my daughter had purchased it and I had finished it by the next day.

In 1994 I was all about business. From then until now, I became a practicing astrologer and healer (both Reiki and The Reconnection). In between I went through the shift described in the book and movie and it has been an amazing experience. It was appropriate to have it start with a "coincidence".

ling chi is the chinese form of the japenese reiki practice! it means universal chi! it is laying on of hands healing as reiki is in japan! i do not know if it is also a mushroom of some kind, but i don't feel the need to be careful about using correct wordage! what is the danger in calling something by its name? Smile

i know what fungshui is and practice it! it is the art of placement in relation to chi lines or lay lines! whether that palcement be of a building, furnature, or furnnishings, or indeed the human body! Smile

you will recognize the word chi from tai chi! ling is the unversal process just as rei is in reiki! rei (divine essence of unvisal) ki (life force energy)! reiki is not just an interplay of natures energy, our energy, and the divine energy! it is also a process, a means by which we channel this energy and direct! Smile

so you don't have to be worried i am calling it by its correct name ling chi is chinese reiki! Smile

Was never worried, just let you know that here in South China they never call it by this name. They reserve Ling Chi for the mushroom, and Chi for the universal live force.

Hi All,

My experience of the book and its insights is that I am learning more and more about my control dramas. Also, that I can choose how to respond and not react. I can see more and more that What I give out I get back. If I respond positively then hopefully the other will feel more at ease and respond positively.

With my daughter for instance we discuss things. We work on agreeing on a course of action. I don't need to control her. I am a more interactive person now. I feel more in control and my responses are alot more thought out.

Also, I used to feel the need to fix things for people now I am more inclined to just listen and support them in choosing their own responses.

I also, used to explain myself alot and try to convince people. Now, I am more inclined to just act as I feel I should and respond as I feel I should. I realise that if I have well thoughtout my action then it doesn't need others approval.

For me the example of us all being part of a big soup is fascinating. It does make me think that however, my response will affect me, so I am more inclined not to impulsively react or respond.

The tenth insight also made me think about the sort of work I wanted to do. I allowed my intuition to guide me and watched for signs more. Now, I think I've found the job that's right for me.
