Young daughter and her community needing support; House sale

Dear Friends,

Please add my almost 12 year-old daughter to the list. All the many changes in her home and family structure from the past few years are catching up to her, and she is having a challenging time integrating everything , finding her true self in the midst of it all. She has missed a good portion of school this semester. May her parents, teachers, doctors and others be divinely guided to support her in the highest ways possible. So many see her as flawed and needing fixing (as well as her parents!) when she might just need some time and space for healing and growth.

Also: Our house is going on the market today. May the most perfect outcome unfold for all concerned.

Why do people notice your flaws before they realise what your strengths are? This young girl is beginning her journey of 'self-discovery and identity' - yet I see we are drawn to the negative rather than towards the light within her. I work with children 9-18 on a voluntary basis, most of whom have problems within the school environment and home issues - yet they all amaze me when they realise their own strengths and put out a hand to help others. Society is full of people putting expectations on children of how they preceive they should conform but sometimes it's like putting square pegs in round holes - you can force it to fit but it never quite fits properly. She has a light all of her own - allow her to express herself creativily, compliment the positive things and allow the negative to dissipate - other peoples views are unimportant as long as she receives unconditional love from those around her she will find herself eventually.

Thank you, Lighter Times. Your words are very helpful. Shortly after I posted my request I felt the influx of love and light pouring in!

I am trying to move beyond my projections regarding authority figures as adversaries. We have a meeting with her teacher on Tuesday, who has been a most excellent match for our daughter until (possibly) now. I am envisioning Divine influence and openness on all of our parts, working together for the highest good.

Isn't this the task of all of us in all of our relationships?

You will know in your heart what is right for your daughter and sometimes people who are in authority/or an official capacity do not always work in the best interest for an individual for they too are human and may error on occasions.

With a mother who is spiritually open and loves with an open heart as I feel you do your daughter already has a good foundation to build a happy, positive future for herself - as we all start to walk in life we stumble until we learn to become steady on our feet - she has just started to walk independantly along her own path in life - when she stumbles simply help her up with your love.

The conference with the teacher went very well. We feel seen and included instead of ostracized which was something which could have happened if the energy hadn't been raised. We appreciate all of the prayer support!

Hello, again, dear friends,

My daughter has been doing better and better, starting to come out of her hiding place and having much fewer symptoms, some days without any. She has been working, on and off, at catching up with some school work which is her prerequisite to going on to the next grade in September. Tomorrow will be the 1st time she sees her teacher after quite a few months as we have a parent-teacher-tween conference to see where things are. Also, an opportunity to just step inside the school now that she is feeling stronger again. It is like needing to get back on the horse after falling off- much anxiety looking forward. Yesterday and today the headaches, sleep disturbances, and other symptoms that we haven't been seeing much have flared up again.

After the conference, her dad and I need to give her some very challenging news- after losing his job in May, he has finally found a new job but it means he will be relocating out of state very soon. I am concerned as she has had many losses to deal with already (including our separation and upcoming divorce). Any prayer support for her and her older brother...well, all of us, would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. The house is getting a few lookers but no offers yet. It would be such a huge relief to sell it and get out of the bulk of the debts we have.

The meeting w/ my daughter's teacher went well. I pray that my daughter will take up her tasks with joy and let go of self-sabotaging behaviors.

The announcement of relocation was made by her dad afterward, and at this point hasn't begun to sink in. I see that it could really be a great thing in many ways...I am most concerned with the possible feelings of yet another loss for the children as they are very attached to their dad and it will mean they don't get to see him so often. It also means that my #1 source of childcare is leaving and this will greatly affect my work availability. Breathe, Relax and trust...

Thank you all for magnifying good our way. My 12 year-old daughter has been doing better and got almost all of her summer make-up work completed...should be all done by the time school starts next week. She even went to camp for 2 weeks out in the country.

She continues to have physical symptoms which seem to be getting stronger as school gets nearer. She missed about 4 months in the spring.

Right now the only thing she seems to really want to do is watch TV, something I discouraged and prohibited for a very long time, but have tried to "lighten up" and allow her a little escape into vicarious living. and a chance to recuperate. I still don't believe it is the best thing, but there are so many other must do's and must not do's in her life right now.

Her dad just moved out of state last week to be able to work and help support the children. It is a big thing to adjust to and accept.

So any helpful thoughts sent her way to bring her strength and courage in these unsettling times would be great. It could be very helpful to be back into the rhythm of school if she can move beyond her current fears and patterns.

UPDATE:

My daughter started back to school in September with great hope, but the headaches took over again and she has missed most of the semester. Having tried so many things without avail, we finally had some MRIs done and she was found to have 2 discs with 'slight bulging' in her neck, plus some kind of lesion in her lower, back part of the brain, less than an inch in diameter spot. The radiologist says that it is good it is here rather than elsewhere as we can do without a larger part of our cerebellum without it affecting anything than most anywhere else in the brain (eeks!).

There is some current activity vs. just old scar tissue. We do not know if it is a tumor, and if so, whether it is benign or malignant, but we will be moving forward quickly to learn what it is and what the treatment choices are.

We are to meet with a neurosurgeon today at 3 p.m.

I am hoping she can still go out of town on Wed to see her dad for the weekend, but we will see if the neurosurgeon thinks this might be a probem.

I am grateful we now have some physical rhyme and reason behind these headaches and will have ways to deal with all of this, but this is a much bigger 'surprise' package than any of us had anticipated.

I am so grateful to be held in the arms of love. This a scarey time. Thank you for your continued supportive, loving thoughts. Please pray with us that whatever medical team works with her is open to integrative healing, and that all choices and actions bring true healing. May we joyfully receive all the resources we need on every level. I wish the same for you!

Dearest Friends,

Here is an update on our 12 year-old daughter Rosalie. Since the small brain tumor was found in mid November, she started on a number of high-potency oriental medicine products and some homeopathic remedies aimed specifically at changing the energy patterns that allowed this to grow in the first place. This includes many aspects. She has also been getting treatments, structural and energetic, to allow the healing life force to flow through some blocked areas with less impediment and correct imbalances. And she has been lifted up in prayer and loving thoughts by so many in our community. Thank you!

She has gone from having headaches every day for MONTHs, and stomach aches much of the time, to having just about 6 headaches since late November, and maybe a few more stomach aches. The symptoms that she does get are far less intense and shorter in duration.. We have a repeat MRI of the brain this Thursday (TODAY!). The neurosurgeon is looking to see if the tumor has grown. We are all hoping to see significant shrinkage.

We appreciate all thoughts/prayers of love and support. The financial impact of her treatments and remedies is big, insurance covering little of the complimentary methods, but it seems like such a better path to take. I am trusting that everything will work out for us. There is some conflict about the extreme dietary and other recommendations for her, and I want Rosalie and myself to see clearly what is the BEST for her, and have the will to carry these out, no matter how strongly WE or some practitioners might feel.

I will send an update when we hear the results of the MRI.

Hello, Dear Friends,

I am sorry- I just realized I did not send he test results after we got them in January. My daughter's brain lesion has not grown, and the specialist thinks we can wait another 6 months before the next brain scan. She is responding very well to the herbs, homeopathy, acupuncture, energy/body work, and prayer support that she is receiving and is symptom free most days now!

We pray for continued healing. One of her acupuncturists believes the headaches she occasionally gets now are more partly the result of past whiplash, which continues to get worked with. There are some strong dietary guidelines that she has been given, but it is hard to get an almost 13 year-old to cooperate with these.

I had to take her out of school in December because she was missing months of school due to incapacitating headaches. Now that she is improving so much, but still unable to sustain a full schedule of school, I could use support in homeschooling her for the rest of this school year. As a single mom, I could also really use more resources (people!) that are safe, loving, inspiring and affordable to be with her when I must go to work.

May our family's healing, on every level, take some quantum leaps!

What an amazing journey yours and your daughter´s...and how brave both of you are...My loving intention goes to both of you , I put you both into the Light prayer ring at this very moment and feel as the Light Beings the ancestors and the spiritual masters sorround you both healing what needs to be healed...visualize the cells in her brain recovering their normal healed state...and keep that image on the front of your attention.
I believe that the ability if the body to heal itself is extraordinary given the possibility, that is the energy patterns the space, and the nutrients to do so , all things you seem to be doing...the only thing I would add is to meditate, so her inmunne system gets a boost from this practice . In Deepak Chopra¨s site there are wonderful meditations to follow it only takes some twenty min or so and the benefits for the mind-soul are huge...you can offer it to her, to do it together...and you can also do them by yourself, the benefit arrives to her too, and the stress you are going through vaporizes...that I guarantee ! you need to recover energy too...do not worry about school too much, maybe this is her time for art proyects, music and quiet things....to take a year to heal is not a long time ...and it can be a whole different pace experience... l did homeschool my kids when I lived in the States and it was a great experience for all of us... remember there is a Waldorf school that sends you the material home and she can work it by herself or with a tutor online...was not expensive and maybe is a real alternative for a 13 yrs old that is healing herself and requires a different approach.
