Hello from Guelph Ontario

For many years the book (CP) has sat on the shelf and I contemplated reading it. Then in June my wife and I made a decision to travel to Peru in pursuit of treatment from a Shaman for my wife's cancer, which she has now battled for nearly 7 years. We were filled with fear and uncertainty about our trip as we had heard of many dangers travelling in that country. On the flight to Lima as I started to read the book, I was overcome by a feeling that I had to share with my wife about our journey and it's importance in our lives. I cannot believe that I picked this book from all the choices I had, and after reading the book, experience what I experienced in Arequipa. The treatments which my wife received made her very ill. She was almost bed ridden from the day of her first treatment for the entire 2 weeks we were in Peru. Each day as I sat in the courtyard of our beautiful and quaint hotel reading the book, I looked out to mountains, everything around me was so alive and there was an energy that I have never felt in my life. Every tree, every plant, every creature and person that I encountered was part of my path - there was a beauty that I had never seen before. I was surely meant to read this as much as we were meant to find our way to this remarkable Shaman and this most beautiful and safe place on earth. Our Shaman has never waivered on his ability to help us and despite all of the challenges and the fact that the medical community has thrown in the towel on her cancer since we have returned, I believe the path we took was our destiny. Sometime in the next few weeks we expect the symptoms to subside and that we will get some medical confirmation that her tumours are shrinking. I have tried to generate and sustain positivity around her each and every day - I have tried to keep he full of hope and faith - for we are so fortunate to have found this path to her future well being and place of enlightenment!

I followed up reading CP with 'The Power of Now', and I can't believe how these two books have changed my life forever. It was a great one-two punch and that in itself was a part of my journey and made for some wonderful Peruvian spirituality. Each day since our return in early July, I try to take time to enjoy and appreciate my life.

Although I have not seen the movie yet, I was happy to find this forum to share my excitement and insights into my self discovery and learn from each of you.

I know so little... and as I discover my spiritual self I know that it is a path that I must walk and there is no turning back. I am such a rookie compared to all of you - but I am a sponge who has stepped down from his aloof past!

I have never thought to tell this forum that because of the new openness that resulted from my shift from reading CP, ManyLivesManyMasters, and a few other important books, I allowed my youngest son, to marry Rosa from Lima. Many stories later, They just celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary and their son, Christopher, just turned 8. He is Living Spirit, such clean Energy, as many children have. He reminds me daily of this work, the insights, and Unconditional Love.

I am going to go get The Power of Now today. Thank you.

My dear friend, welcome and so amazing to read your story, I will include your wife in my daily healing sessions over the next few weeks and will send prayers to the great mother earth and father energy for her healing, You are now on a path that leads to deep and permanent healing of not only the physical body but the spiritual soul, I think as you explore deeper the messages James gives in all his books and tolle in his new earth you will see we are all heading to a better place with more light for healing us all, god bless you and yours and tell your wife I love her!
