A seat amongst ancients

ever since i was a child i have given love energy to those around me. I do it without thinking now, like breathing, but now i can't trurn it off. I have found that most people instinctively take what they need forming a breif emotional connection.

but every so often i'll enounter someone who takes the lot- i saw one such man watching his shaking hands afterwards. I never blame these people but it means that i must recharge myself. I call the process sitting with the ancients.

In australia we are blessed with truely ancient landscapes. There are a number of places i can go depending on my intuitive leads; varying from open vistas to narrow, secret gorges but most of these places have trees, the older the better. I would sit with my back to a tree or stone or with my feet dangling in a stream and use their prompts to recover.

trees are great for reconnecting what is above with what is below, rocks are great for grounding and restabalizing while water is clensing- should i have received someone elses filth during an energy transfer. while sitting amongst the ancients i usually sing or play my recorder so there is some energy still flowing back to the earth to complete the circuit.

I recomend this to anyone, even a tree in the backyard could become your best friend.

Dear Lovinglight,

That was a fabulous and beautious so true post. Thank you! I just returned from a trip to the North Carolina mountains. And can attest to the fact that green lush landscapes with flowing clean rivers of water still abound. The earth is full of "seats among the ancients"

I am happy for you, the experience is always envigorating. There are some spectacular scenery in canada- definately on my list for regular visits. it is difficult to grasp the scale until you have been there.
The danger of course is dependancy and it can cause probems with living in generic society. In australia we have a term 'humping the bluey' and it means to be so in love with your country and it's landscapes that work and career drop from the priorities to be replaced by travel. and sightseeing/ sight seeking.
I myself inherited this very young, so at 24 i have no career prospects; i simply can't stay in one place long enough to establish one. This does also boil down to being a 'wanderer' but that's another story for another time.

You are young, so enjoy your travels I say! I'm sure you have touched many lives in doing so. Careers can be overrated anyway! You have time for that and maybe one day you will find one where you can visit other places along the way.

Thank you but i am sure my calling lies in the eco-village, in the founding thereof and design. it is a hard life but one that gives me courage strength and energy. All i can do is live life and try to work out the hows. I have more faith than most and -as you have said- plenty of time on my side,
