Love Transcends

Hiya All,

Some of you may remember that the friend and teacher I knew for 17 years as a dog named Starberry, left this realm last year. It felt as though a huge part of me left. We were close. Smile

I eventually 'sucked it up' and went on ... but that part wasn't there.

Well, I was doing my job as caretaker at a local park here one morning about 2 weeks ago, when, as I approached the outhouse to clean it, I was startled by two barking growling dogs. Not big intimidating dogs, but cute, hapless looking pooches. They looked like they'd been out on their own for months, by the matting and burs in their fur.
I called the Humane Society so that the owners could claim them, but no one came. The folks at the HS said that the two dogs couldn't be separated or they got very listless and cranky. So I thankfully brought them home.
They do things in unison very often, and have traits (like I taught Starberry to shake-off on command before she came in the house and both of these dogs do it on command - at the same time) that I taught to Star in our time together that were unique to our relationship. They are too many and perhaps too personal to relate here, but I see the Spirit of Starberry in these animals. Judy does too. They have taken to us like we are old friends and even the kitty-cats are accepting them as they are to the cats. It is very cool to see.
Anyhow, I'm attaching some pictures because there is Light in them.

That is so sweet. Love surely does transcend all. What did you name the dogs? And how is Eckart Tolle's class going for you? It's great to see you back here!

Yep, you know she played a part in getting these 2 lost Joys to your hands/home when you were ready. They look like cocker spaniels--cute brother and sister?

I am filled with joy at your (and Judy's) new family members/gifts.

.today I had news that my golden retreiver,that has been home for more than 11 yrs , is sick and probably wont make it to Christmas ,in that event your story bring comfort to my heart...I now know that when she leaves,,,she will send me a fellow kind soul ...or two! thanks...you have lifted my spirit up...thanks for sharing...
