My uncle has advanced cancer

Please can you see my uncle strong and courageous and learning all he needs to from his illness. May he receive all the love he can.

Hiya Gene,

Yes he will overcome so much with this cancer. Sometimes our greatest learnings come from adversity. Infact all of mine have lol!!

I am learning that I cannot fix others or interfere in the conflicts between my uncle and my dad. For I am learning each relationship is only between two people because they have learnings to learn together and will do better if others keep out of it.

Also, I am learning that all these people are just props that sharpen me. The winds of people will blow in and out of my life. It may mean i grieve for them but they leave me with greater awareness.

I have a new guy also gene. He is so kind and caring. He is helping me to learn to stop worrying what others think, he is teaching me not to obsess about what is, because we don't know what will be. He told me the other day "you only ever need to be loyal to what you want Theressa, regardless of what others think"

One thing I notice about me also is that I am learning to accept who he is. He is say 98% to my satisfaction and like any human has some flaws. He suggested he was going to give up something the other day. I reminded him and he said on my time scale honey, do not start trying to change me.

So, it is an up hill lesson this learning to accept what is. I am glad he has such good boundaries. He is such good fun.

Prayers going out to you and your uncle. Cancer is a rough one. My Mom has had 4 kinds. It brought some people closer, and it pushed some people away. I found strenth in being closer, I'm sure you will too.
