Hi there everyone,
I walk alot around where i live which is in a very pretty and awe inspiring area of th U.K , and nearly always take my mp3 player so i can listen to my music whilst i am surrouded my breathtaking scenery, depending on what mood i am in or which type of music i am listening to , i feel like it amplifies this "aura" around the trees and plants and i feel ,not only close to earth but part of earth, and the energy i feel is ,well ....strong!!!!(god that goes nowhere near to telling you how i feel"!)focused, energised, massive, capable of nearly anything, these are other ways to describe how i feel!.
thankyou all for being who you are, in a world where the bloke to your right can kill a man but the man to your left can give his heart to save him! _________________ todays mighty oak is only yesterdays nut that held its ground! |

Hi Gefrin!
I do the same in Canada, on my bike usually, but the ipod keeps my world bright too! It has something to do with higher vibrations I feel...
What do you listen to? (I love the electronic music, breaks, house, dub, dnb, etc...)

I enjoyed your post so much Gefrin. Yours too, Chakratom. I walk at night in the South US and look at the moon behind tall oaks, sweetgum trees, and huge southern pine trees. While I walk,I listen to various kinds of music:. New Age instrumental, John Lennon, Andrea Botcelli, Bob Dylan, and Dave Matthews. But my favorite singer of all time is Sarah Brightman. Her voice is takes me to a very special place of higher vibration. She wrote a song called "This War is Over Now" and sings it with an singer from Iraq. I think the song is about how great it will be if we could ever reach mass conciousnes and know that there is something wonderful waiting if we could realize we don't have to steal energy from each other.
I think that when I am listening to Sarah I have just a "taste" of what it could be like if energies went into creating those kinds of experiences with the arts. She sings a song called "La Luna" and its just about the energies of the moon and how beautiful it is. My all time favorite is "Time to Say Goodbye" which I think is about saying goodbye to the old energy earth and welcoming a new vibration where we revive beautiful dreams and live them. (These are just my own interpretations of her songs!!)
Sometimes, I wonder if people are afraid to stop control dramas........ because they think life will be boring. We get addicted to the dramas themselves. Then talking of the beauty of nature and music seems silly. _________________ Where Attention Goes, Energy Flows |

^^^^ Actually Sarah1, I think the dramas are because we are trained to do it at an early age in western culture.
BTW, nice choice of music, and beautiful location for it...

Sweet!
I love music without words, so I can feel the vibrations without distractions from my brain interpereting the words into my experience.
I highly recommend going to an outdoor all week party in nature, where DJ's spin and lights blow the mind, and celebrate the present moment and the self.
Check out Shambhala Music Festival in Salmo River Ranch, in BC, Canada, August 9-14.
I will be there, in the Seed of Life...

Hi All,
So a big part of adult hood is retraining and becoming conscious of what we learnt in childhood. Maybe as we all become more aware less time will be needed to change so much programming we picked up in childhood. I have faith since I run parenting courses and can see the positive is beginning to outweigh the negative in our teaching on how to handle children.
Blessings

| Hey ckakratom, I dig what you said about instrumental music, music without words allows for a higher attention I believe. If you feel like checking out a band, they're called Sigur Ros and I listen to them alot when I'm outside discovering. Also another band, mostly instrumental is called Mogwai, worth a listen for sure. What is that Shambhala festival all about, I like the sound of it. I'm reading The Secret of Shambhala right now. Later, insightfuleye |

Actually, Chakratom, I was not talking about why we do them, I was referring to why we don't give them up. And I was just speaking for myself.
But thanks for correcting me.

Hi Sarah1,
That is a good one, I wonder it at times too. At least we can hope that more people are waking up to it, best is to look out for you, and not worry about others so much. I am learning that one right now as I type this.
Blessings

Hi Sarah,
| Quote: | | Sometimes, I wonder if people are afraid to stop control dramas........ because they think life will be boring. We get addicted to the dramas themselves. |
I think in some instances you are correct. I have heard a number of people make comments that if everything was perfect life would be boring and there would be no individuality. It's not true as people would just be a more exciting version of who they are now but none the less that is what some people think. I also have seen people revel in their control dramas. Especially the poor me and intimidators. I get the impression they have fun getting into fights and enjoy the attention they get when they are helpless and need saving. But I think for the most part people are not aware that they have them. They are not aware that their actions are an attempt to manipulate people. In general it is because they think their actions are justified. They have a right to act the way they do because of some wrong committed on them by another person using a control drama on them. So for some it is an addiction and others it is a habit they don’t know they have. For all it’s a matter of protecting themselves but not knowing there is a better way to deal with life. One that is mutually beneficial for all involved. The problem is to get there you have to learn to become self aware. To become self aware means you have to make the decision to face yourself. This is kind of scary to people because they want to believe they are good people. What they don’t realize is that it’s not that they are not good people it’s just that they are good people with negative habits. Once they see this sometime down the road they will begin to see that they can protect themselves better by not falling into the control drama in the first place. Unfortunately though we can’t get them there. They have to find their way on their own. All we can do is lead by example. Show them there is a better way. And for some we meet on our path we might be just what they needed to help them make the connection in their mind. The catalyst who helps them to see there is a better way. And this is very well already happening whether we realize it or not.
Sincerely,
Michelle |

First of all here's what this point of view isn't.
It's not a religion or even a doctrine.
And it certainly could never be accused of having any "cult" characteristics. If anything it's decidedly anti-cult because it places the responsibility for discovering spiritual experience firmly with the individual, not with any group.
People everywhere, from every spiritual tradition, are already discovering a deeper experience within, and what I've tried to do with the books is to intuitively describe this deeper journey as something that millions of us are all doing at the same time. |
[b]The insights, as written, are simply a description of how spiritual consciousness seems to be evolving.
(See God and the Evolving Universe.)
The movie illustrates ..the personal experience of this evolution in film, showing our changing perceptions such as synchronicity and a greater sense of our personal destiny unfolding.
Because of the particular music the film has, and the way it was edited to suggest a deeper meaning behind what is being watched, it seems to activate a kind of soul remembrance -- at least that's what test audiences are saying.
So I think we've captured the essence of the book.[/quote]
