someone recurring in my mind
ok, they're physically attractive, loads of energy and life (most of the time), passion wit and spontinaity, share some same views on partners, known each other for about 8 or 9 years (but don't know each other really well yet as i often used to clam up when faced with beauty, something the celestine prophecy and people in my path have helped with), and i really could go on for ages.
it's ok, i quite like it, the fantasy of it, but some seemingly very wise advice from a book called "the barefoot dr" (reccomended, but perhaps not quite as much as tCP) which said not to let myself get carried away with that, as it always backfires.... and i've witnessed that loads.
I can't keep kicking myself over thinking about her, because thats just the "second bite", and perhaps time could be spent more constructively... is my world gonna be flipped upsidedown again? or are we just destined to be very very close friends*? not quite the questions, mind is wandering into fantasy again....
um... any advice?
ask for any other background on this.
I'm sure i'm not the only one to have ever come across this, and i'm sure (as with all forum discussions) someone else will benefit from this too.
thnx

Hello Digit,
The man I'm with today started as a relationship similar to yours. I worked for him and we became very close friends. I felt a bond with him on some level but was not all that interested in taking the relationship further. He waited patiently for six years until I woke up and realized that he had all the qualities I was looking for in a partner. His patience paid off and I am grateful that I took a chance on him because I have to say that I really enjoy our life together. So it is possible that if you wait for her she may come around. However, a relationship is a two way street. It is very possible she may still be drawn to people who fulfill her control drama issues and you may not fit that bill. Until she is truly ready to only seek out healthy partnerships you will be stuck waiting in the wings. This also means if you limit yourself to thinking she is the only person in this world who you could have an enriching partnership with, then you may miss out on a possible meaningful relationship with someone else who was knocking on your door but you weren't home. Basically instead of focusing on her and only her, put the request out to the universe that you would like to have a relationship with someone like her. Because a watched pot never boils let it go and wait for the other her to show up. Ultimately open yourself up to other possiblities because there is more than just one woman in the world. And this one that you hold so dearly can always remain your friend.
Sincerely,
Michelle |
