i was given a copy of the C.P. for christmas and could not put it down until i finished it. without getting into my entire life story, i will tell you that i am 24 years old and have always been searching for my spiritual path. i have always had a natural infinity towards children and it has even become a kind of running joke in my family. it doesnt matter where i am or what im doing, but if there is a child within 25 feet of me they seem to gravitate towards me. about a year and a half ago i had a reading done by a woman who called herself an angel guide and she brought up the theory of indigo children and her feeling was that i would have a major hand in shaping and teaching this new generation of spiritualists. since reading your book i feel that this is my calling and i was wondering what words of wisdom you could give me to help me begin this part of my journey? any reading material or directions would be greatly appricitated.

I am apprehensive about the idea of indigo children. It's a label. I have had a couple experiences that are very sacred to me where I have been contacted by someone who has passed away. This expereince came with a message. I was responsible for the knowledge I received and the choices I made in connection with those experiences. Children do not come to the age of responsibility until they are around 8 years old. I do not believe good spirits visit us without reason. Spirits who are confused and lost or trapped may visit, but in these cases we should use caution.







I've heard some claims that indigo children are actually people who are reincarnated. I believe that life continues after death, and that the reason our soul comes to earth is to receive it's body. When we are resurrected, our soul is reunited with our body. I do not understand why a soul whould chose to return to earth to get another body. What would then happen to the first body?







There are some amazingly perceptive children out there, but what would you be guiding them to do? How would you guide an "indigo child" who has been told that she's not herself, that she's her grandmother. How confusing is that!? And what if she asked why she was back? Would you know? Aren't we all trying to guide ALL children to know their purpose in this life? Aren't we trying to help every living soul who's here now regardless of their supposed former lives to be the best person they can be here and now.







I hope most of this makes sense. This is a newer topic for me, but I'm afriad I may come across as upset or angry. That's not the case, I just can't understand the concept of indigo children, sorry.

Our bodies are vehicles. We use them and when they can no longer host our spirit we shed them.



The body is recycled.



We come back to learn and to advance by leading good lives and helping others as well as ourselves.



Indigo children is a label applied to children who "remember" prior lives or show prophetic or other unusual abilities. The term is overused and exploited.



My question is



Where are all the grown up Indigo and Starchildren?



I think they are living their lives and are happy to no longer be the focus of attention, or the profit center of the people that used them to sell books and take them around to be displayed like a freak at a Carnival.



Seems like the Indigo (a color) fades after puberty.



Has anyone experienced Indigo Teens?

The idea of indigo children - they do indeed exist, and they aren't all that new. My spouse and I are Indigo adults. Why you don't hear so much about us is that people who are different get ridiculed, especially when you do know things you shouldn't or can dream things that happen later on. By the time you are a teen you learn not to talk of these things and to hide what you do know unless you are certain. Many people with gifts like this try to turn them off, which you can, to a certain degree. It's only recently it's become more acceptible to talk about psychic ability and actually have people not think you're a flake. According to the website, I am an indigo adult too. So what. I think EVERYONE has the potential to have the perceptive abilities mentioned in the 10th Insight and the gifts that "Indigo people" have. My point is that this is a label and tends to make people think that they have to be born with these gifts.



The other thing that is disquieting is that charms and tarot and other sorceries are discussed on the indigo page. Hey, I believe in energy centers and prophecy, but this is a warning: Know your source! If it's not from God it is Satan's subtle trickery. I used to do Tarot cards- I know they work- but I don't think the guidance in the cards comes from God. God speaks to us sirectly when we pray.



Prophecy and healing are true concepts that are happening to lots of people in this world, not just those who consider themselves indigo. We have to discern where the information is coming from. God wants us to be happy. We need to expect God's power to work in us and when God wants us to have a message doesn't it make sense that we should be able to recieve it simply by expecting it and accepting it without gadets and gizmos. (you need to be pure in heart as well) Opening up to the divine energy in us and prayer extensions are discussed extensively in The Secret of Shambala.

Rocky, I'm afraid I don't understand you. I'm sure there must be more than 144,000 gifted people in the world. Besides that biblical number refers to something else, as far as I know. And if "indigos" are using biblical numbers to describe themselves, how is it that they believe in tarot and other sorcery?



I'll tell you what. When I went to see the movie I met a woman who told me about Lily Dale and that I could get help learning what to do with my gifts. Perhaps I'm warming up to the idea that I really would appriciate some company. I am also coming to realize that the "label or category" is designed to help people who feel misunderstood to find others they can relate too better. But parts of "indigo" still makes me wary.



My gut reaction of your message was that you considered me, and you, part of a group especially blessed, and that acceptance made me feel good. Thank you for your website. I'll be refering to it again and again. I hope I can be of greater help to others somehow... I just haven't figured out what my skills are good for yet.



Finally, I still believe that everyone is blessed in one way or another and that spiritual blessing can be poured out upon those who have never had them before- that everyone has great spiritual potential... Thanks again Rocky!

Having psychic abilities or any abilities is about recognising your light.



Sometimes those souls in the spirit world may want those on the earth plane to know they are safe and okay. They may choose to channel this message through you because they feel they may frighten a loved one if they did it directly.

Thanks for the info I think I can really get some help from the people you mentioned and mabey eventually figure out what I'm doing with my life. I wish I lived in the UK but at the moment I reside in the USA but when I'm older I plan to do alot of traveling and I'm sure I'll get there eventually.

Going through life seeing things others can't makes the world quite interresting let me tell you hahah. I'm still not really sure how it all works yet but I'm starting to figure it out...I think.
