Cassadaga

I live in Florida, and would like to plan a trip to Cassadaga. Has anyone gone there, and if so I would love to hear of your trip.

Hi Snoopyfan 8,

I hesitated to comment on Cassadaga not wanting to discourage you, but I feel compelled to share. I have visited this spiritualist community on two occasions. There is a strangely eerie atmosphere to the town itself. One thing I noticed is there were no children to been seen or heard around. Very quiet. The first time I went with some friends when I was in my 20s, and the reading I had was not accurate and I felt this to be deceiving. The second time in my 30s with my dad, and the reading was somewhat inspiring and hopeful. Other than that, no big deal. It is an old town with an old hotel and a few shops, like stepping back in time. Not sure how long it will be around as there are building plans in the works for that area.

Now, the beautiful springs around there, Blue Springs and DeLeon Springs are gorgeous and worthy of a visit. Clear, clean, cool waters to swim and canoe, or just have a picnic and enjoy the natural nature.
