Hi Everybody,
I just googled my nickname for this forum and was surprised to see that it is also the same name for an internet game site.
See:
9Dragons is the first authentic martial arts MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game), published by Korean game company Indy21 and remastered for the Western Market for Acclaim Games by American author Steven-Elliot Altman. ...etc..
I just want to make it clear that it is a coincidence that this happened and I have no connections with this virtual martial arts game.
Choosing a member name "9 dragons" is a long story best told in a nice tea room, sipping green tea and having lots of dimsum with good friends/strangers

Hey 9dragons,
Coincidentally, I was just talking to my friend about the significance of the 'dragon' and being interested in numerology..."9" is a number less known. So tell, tell about your name.
Also, I'm from Kentucky, USA...what is dimsum...please and thank you. (It sounds Thai, Vietnamese???) Green tea I know, in fact, I'm just about to brew a cup. Is this all a 'kin' to 9dragons????
May I extend my welcome to you here. I haven't posted as often as I once was able, only because of the turns in my journey, but I manage to read several times a week; so please add your energy often.
You'll love it here.
Looking forward to your posts,
Love from Lyndell |

The number 8 bids good luck but 9 is reserved for longevity and the higherst numer in the chinese mode of calculation.Using the decimal system of 0 to 9,there is no 10.After 9,it circles back to 0,the starting number.
The town/city of Kowloon,a part of Hong Kong, means 9 (Kow) dragons (loon)
DimSum are little tidbits that the chinese like to order from carts that are pushed in restaurants. You are free to choose whatver you want and how much and the prices range from cheap to dear.
About me,i am just another simple traveller in this journey of life, meeting like minded souls and sharing whenever i can. There is really nothing much to say about me.
Take care to all of you

Good morning 9dragons,
You can bet you're welcome here...and maybe, the many folks who post here, assumed what I did...that you were on site for a 'goodly' period of time before I read your intro. I had read some of your contributions on the other index subjects and thought you'd joined and been here for awhile...particularly since I'm on and off the forum these days.
You keep posting, kiddo....and the forum members will respond. There are people here who feel like they are my companions from another life-time and you'll come to recognize them as well. I too, have missed saying welcome to a number of new members...but hopefully they know that I'm thrilled they will add their perspectives and ideas. Join in, and leave your wisdom...often.
Take care and have a wonder-filled day.

hmm,i don't understand the term "goodly"...care to elaborate?
I just don't want to say things about myself as it goes against my principle of humility and many people are superficial and can say anything they want.I rather have people understand me better in what i do or how i respond than pose a curriculum vitae/testimonial like a job appilcation or dating agency list of preferences ,etc...well,you get what i mean...talk is cheap, typing is easy, but the real you can only be judged in what one does.
An old proverb:Don't hear what they say,see what they do..
ciao to all

"Goodly"
as was used in my message: more than a few, less than a lot
Good can be an adjective...add 'ly' and it becomes an adverb...but this word is 'rarely' seen. I've seen it written in describing honest, kind, open-hearted, right-thinking, parents, as well as their actions, disciplines and philosophies.
It is true: Lyndell uses the language poorly...many times, however...its part of my experiences and indictative of my family's expressions..so please forgive if this has come across as egocentric. (Folks here are trying to teach me better...they are goodly friends...adjective)) Ha! Post as you 'will' and it will be accepted with the spirit in which it was written. Very perceptive souls post here.
And a wonderful day back to you,
L |

thanks L,
l learnt something today,By the way,did anyone read about that poor kid that was shot dead while trick or treating?I was wondering if the dad could somehow sense an insight and avoided that situation or at least, there might be a blast but no one was injured. That would be so comforting. _________________ It is time for me to go. |
