Greetings everyone!

I have been totally focused on living my life in the flow for the last 10 years. I am so fascinated by this topic that I put all my observartions into a book called "Row, Row, Row Your Boat: A Guide for Living Life in the Divine Flow"

http://www.rowrowrow.com.

Here are the two main keys I live my life by:

1. Pay Attention to the here and now moment. When you are reflecting on the past or projecting into the future, you may miss the intuitive guidance and meaningful coincidences that are occuring right here, right now.

2. Let go of what you "think" you know. Don't let logic, reason, and "facts" cause you to dismiss intuitive guidance. This also means letting go of your negative judgments about people and situations . . . they may be the very thing leading you to your good.

Here's to living life in the flow!

Thank you James for your wisdom, insights, and inspiration.

I completely agree with Andy on his point of being humble. I found one of the best ways I can keep myself in the flow, is to remain in the state of humility. It is probably the hardest inner-challage I've faced, & I falture almost daily, but do my best to catch myself & bring myself back to a state of humility. i have found for me I am also truely happy in this state.

As my father has taught me since I was young, "do at least two good things for someone else each day". For anyone from your closest freind to a stranger on the street. For me I have found nothing makes me happier than doing for something for someone else, & seeing that person smile.

Personally i beleive alot of activities go hand in hand. Such as for a long time I couldn't figure out how to keep in the flow, every few months I would go back & read the CP books. & then I realized the best way for me to keep in the Flow, was the activities I was doing. Meditation, was a huge activity that kept me in the flow. Yoga was also a major player in keeping me connected. But the activity in which always brings be back is practicing Aikido. I have been doing Aikido for about 2 1/2 years now & nothing gets me connected more. for those who don't know to much about Aikido, it is a martial art (similiar to Judo & Jujitsu) was formed in the being of the 20th century, by Morihei Ueshiba. Who wanted to create a self-defence form that was in harmony, or syncrinized with nature & the universe around us. The technique's base around the flow of energy passed between the attacker & defender, & you almost become one as you use their negative, aggressive energy, to positively diffuse the system. Aikido for me is about protecting yourself from harm, but also protecting the attacker from harm as well. Smile

Coincidences have been happening throughout my whole life, I am just realizing them more now, & many great oppurtunities have come from it. for me staying in the flow means being in a state of happiness.

James, I so hoped your books would be made into movies! I am as happy for you, you deserve this! Not the headaches that come with it, lol, but you know that's life. Very Happy

I will be keeping my eyes open for your posts, as if you'll have time... Laughing I think this board is a pretty special thing you are doing.

Thank you for all your books have brought to me over the years...the path I have chosen is Traditional Aboriginal Shamanism, not the easiest, yet synchronicity plays a huge part...learning to allow ourselves to be aware of synchronicities has open many new worlds to me.

Also deep healings and understanding is due to your books and Shamanism and has brought dramatic changs to my life, thanks again.

Pure energy, LovLifeBreathDeep/Deb

Steven,

Your talking about the here and now reminded me of a really good book out there that is out of print but available for only 10 dollars, it's called Handbook to higher consciousness by Keyes. Not that I am advertising for this, lol, but wondered if you ever read it? It also speaks a lot of here and now. I intend to check out your boat, Very Happy take care.

James, I wonder if you can tell me which book within your series I can find information on breathing techniques, if it is there? I know so much can be found on the internet, but people may not realize how important breathing techniques are. Thanks.

well talking about martial arts and breathing techniques.

in tai chi there two kinds of breathing techniques. it is the abdominal breathing and the reverse breathing. well i guess you've heard what abdominal breathing is all about right? it is breathing with your diaphram, not with the chest.

in tai chi, you also use energy cultivation, as what mention in aikido. you and your opponent are exchanging enrgy (chi). while in the lone practice, you are cultivating your energy with the sorroundings. thus, you feel more in one with the universe. this helps you keep in tune with the flow also.

I belive the best way for me anyhow is to remain disconnected to the possible outcomes. Like a ducks rear so to speak. Keep your flow possitive and trust the higher powers. Thanks for everything.

Thanks for the responses guest and slik, I am familiar with belly breathing, I'd like to know more about exchanging chi though and how it is done, what it feels like...the explanation of what you were talking about.

I think there is far more to this. I know that when we exchange energy with others, piggybacking that energy are other things. Thier lightness as well as their darkness, and in so doing we can pick up far more about that person that we may wish to. Is this what we really want? Yes I am sure at times we would. Why not?

If we can be conscious with each choice we make in each breath, we could clearly look at the pros and cons of each choice and make decisions based on our understanding as opposed to whims of the moment. Anyone can do that with practice.

This chi breathing has great functionality in it though, imagine for example bonding with another in friendship or romanitcally...hooya! Razz

Ok enough for now... Very Happy .

Dear James,

Being in the flow is simple, but tricky too. When I am completely in the flow, I am in the present moment and setting completly. No thoughts of the future, no thoughts of the past. I am focused completly, savoring the delicious momets as they unfold like the leaves and flowers of a growing vine. I feel my heart chakra radiate an unstoppable heat and love out to the world. I use a lot of methods to achieve these highs, like focusing on the breath. The breath is one of the most important and immediate connections between me and my world. Focusing on the breath brings me into the here and now. I also enjoy running, which brings me into flow, as does yoga, snowboarding, skateboarding, even long distance driving. The key is letting go of all of the mind's chatter. Observe the details of the moment, listen to what your surroundings are telling you at that moment. Listen to what your thoughts are telling you. I am especially fond of the way Ken Keyes Jr. describes this phenomenon in The Handbook to Higher Consciousness. He describes higher levels of consciousness where I belive the flow is lived. In the lower states, the messages are clouded by negative thinking, and thus ignored. Are you familiar with his writings?

Dear LovLifeBreathDeep,

I just read your entry, after I had already submitted mine, and found it great that you are familiar with Keyes, and the handbook to higher Cness. I also noticed we both mentioned breathing. Yoga teaches many breathing techs, one is the sun moon breath where you breathe in from one nostril, then the other. Also the cooling breath (healing breath) where you shape your tounge like a straw and breath in through it (breathe out slowly through nose), ten or twenty times several times a day cooling your body temp. It is said to heal almost all ailments. There is also a breath where you rapidly breath in and out of your nose by contracting your diaphram repeditivly. Another technique is to breath in a 1:4:2 ratio, that's one count inhale, four counts hold breath, two counts exhale. Do this ten or twenty times twice a day each time slowing the breath while still respecting the ratio 1:4:2. This breath is the most efficient, in terms of oxygenation of the blood, and removing toxins from the body. I guess it's supposed to be the same ratio as the heartbeat. Running and jogging are also great "breathing" excercises because you are forced into a repetitive, rythmic breathing pattern.

Anyway, it was great to see someone else who thought of the Keyes book. It is out of print, but I actually found a copy on ebay for four bucks. Or try Amazon, there are usually used copies for sale.

This is great!! You all have it right!! Stay in the moment, Stay in your excitement, use each situation as a gift, find the lesson and move on. Synchronicity will find you when you follow your excitement and be your TRUE self, with no attachment to the reactions that might bring. Don't look for Joy, BE JOY! Don't look for peace, BE PEACE. As you think, so shall you become. Be a sparkling example and never stop growing! Very Happy

For me, staying in the flow requires the deep knowing--an unquestionable trust--that all is One, all is of God/ Divine Source/ the Universe/ Great Mystery/ Source Energy/ Higher Power, whatever you want to call it. From that place of remembering, I know on a cellular level that there is only God, and since God is all there is, then I, too, am a perfect child of God, always connected, as long as I remember and allow that connection. And since God is all there is, then indeed EVERYONE is a perfect child of God... as is every THING, every animal, every tree, drop of water... even every action. And since everything is connected to God, then every THOUGHT is also connected to God... and since ALL is of God and endlessly connected, ALL is always engaged in a perfect dance of cause and effect. So, then, I know that every thought--good or bad--is, in essence, a prayer... Thought is the beginning of every action. And since ALL is connected, I know that every thought--good or bad--is answered. I may not be able to dictate exactly HOW it is answered, but I can have the intentionality that all good things are available to me all the time. When I trust this Universal Law, I can consciously create my circumstances. While I can't change other people (that's abusing the Law), I CAN change my own energy field through my thoughts--with Love, Joy, Gratitude, Peace, Pleasure, Harmony, Giving, etc. I can raise my vibration regarding those circumstances and attract people, conditions, events, etc. that are vibrating at a similar frequency... I attract what it is I need most for the best possible outcome for the higher good of All. The more I practice this remembering, embrace this knowing of Universal Perfection, the richer, larger and more meaningful my life has become, and I am sooo grateful! Very Happy

Make it a great day, everyone! I know I will!

Just yesterday one of my children exclaimed "hey, it's 4:44 o'clock!. Everytime I've looked at the clock today it's been in sync, last time I checked it was 2:22 and when I got out of the shower it was 11:11."

I've noticed this myself occassionally. When it occurrs I make a wish.

Is this an example of being in flow?

The Wiccan Rede

Bide the Wiccan Laws ye must, in Perfect Love and Perfect Trust

Live ye must and let to live, fairly take and fairly give

Form the circle thrice about to keep unwelcome spirits out

To bind fast the spell every time, let the words be spoke in rhyme

Light of eye and soft of touch, speak ye little, listen much

Honour the Old Ones in deed and name, let love and light be thy guides again

Deosil go by waxing moon, sing and dance the joyful rune

Widdershins go by waning moon, chant ye then a baleful tune

When the Lady's moon is new, kiss the hand to Her times two

When the moon rides at Her peak, thy hearts desire then ye seek

Heed the North wind's mighty gale, lock the doors and trim the sail

When the wind blows from the East, expect the new and set the feast

When the wind comes from the South, love will kiss thee on the mouth

When the wind comes from the West, departed souls have no rest

Nine woods in the cauldron goes, burn them fast, burn them slow

Birch in the fire goes, to represent what the Lady knows

Oak in the forest towers with might, in the fire brings the Lord's insight

Rowan is a tree of power, causing life and magick to flower

Willows at the waterside stand ready to help us to the Summerland

Hawthorn is burned to purify and draw the faerie to thine eye

Hazel, the tree of wisdom and learning, adds its strength to the fire burning

White are the flowers of the Apple tree that brings us fruits of fertility

Grapes grow upon the vine, giving us both joy and wine

Fir does mark the evergreen to represent immortality seen

Elder be the Lady's tree, burn it not or cursed ye be

Four times the Major Sabbats mark, in the light and in the dark

As the old year starts to wane, the new begins; it's now Samhaine

When the time for Imbolc shows, watch for flowers through the snows

When the wheel begins to turn, soon Beltaine fires will burn

As the wheel turns to Lammas night, power is brought to magick rite

Four times the Minor Sabbats fall, use the sun to mark them all

When the wheel has turned to Yule, light the log the Horned One rules

In the spring, when night equals day, time for Eostre to come our way

When the sun has reached its height, time for Oak and Holly to fight

Harvesting comes to one and all when the Autumn Equinox does fall

Heed ye flower, bush and tree, by he Lady, blessed be

Where the rippling waters flow, cast a stone, the truth ye'll know

When ye have and hold a need, hearken not to other's greed

With a fool no season spend, lest ye be counted as his friend

Merry Meet and Merry Part, bright the cheeks and warm the heart

Mind the threefold law ye should, three times bad and three times good

When misfortune is enow, wear the star upon thy brow

True in love ever be unless thy love prove false to thee

'Tis by the sun that life be won, and by the moon that change be done

If ye would clear the path to will, make certain that the mind be still

What good be tools without Inner Light, what good be magick without wisdom sight

Eight words the Wiccan Rede fulfil,

'An it harm none, do what ye will.
