Please, help me use this potential

Hey Ana,

You are a breath of fresh air.

A bit of history: I met my husband when I was the tender age of 16, all of 33 year ago in September. He is the absolute star of the show, enabling me to learn and grow through his natural tendency to unconditional love... I am and always have been incredibly lucky.

I agree with Putty, the Dalai Lama was somewhat subdued, but at his level, it was nothing less than awe-inspiring all the same. His love shines through so strongly. The questions were mixed ranging from: mixed marriages to Indian/Chinese relations to inspiring youth to World population to the environment and to the health benefits of living a loving and compassionate life. The lesson I learnt was that it isn't the words that are important, but the love in the intention behind the words.

In fact that was a major lesson for me personally. I grew up being a very quiet, some described as: shy girl. I wasn't shy, I just didn't know the right thing to say, my intention being not to hurt people with my words. At the tender age of 42, I finally found my voice, and just two months ago, I realised that I was no longer afraid to use it. It's a bit of a bugger really, because just as I got used to this new toy, I now realise that few words borne of love are far more powerful than many borne of logic and reasoning. Ah! We live to learn!

Thank you for asking me those questions, writing these words has enabled me to cement them into my being... all I have to do now is go out and practise... being me.

Thanx for the loving words, I hope you are very well and recognizing the sense of it all...

I will try to get into the chat some of these days, but my computer is giving up on me and I really dont have the time to fix it right now...

I smiled all through your message and I will go to bed with a smile and dream of heaven on earth, because it feels so good to share and it feels even better to have a share...
I feel so honored that you shared some of your personal life and issues with me... I feel special... indeed

I am so happy to hear about your wonderful man, that's great news to me...
I am happy to know that you are happy, eventhough I could feel the love and joy in your words, I now know for sure that you are in good hands...
Knowing about the existence of your marriage gives me more strenght in the faith that I will find someone soon...

Well I thought Dalai Lama was going to be moved by the saddening events in his country, who wouldnt be...
But I am happy that he can still share the love of his heart and stay open.. Thats good news too, cus he is one of the biggest sources of human unconditional love and energy...

By the way, I found out not so long ago that the good intention is not always easy to recognize in peoples words...
I even found out that many of my own good intentions were not so recognizable and even worse, sometimes in fact even missing in what I say to people...

These days, I ve been struggling to find that focus on the good word...
I decided to focus before I speak so that I could be fully aware of what I'm saying and make sure that I speak calmly with the strenght, love and care of my heart...

But it is a wonderful thing to avoid hurting people with the nonsense we say sometimes and gain the voice at such ripe age. Not so many people were blessed with being shy and avoiding hurting other people...
I is good to shut up until you know what you're saying, even if it takes a long period of time, it still makes more sense and it is not easy to learn, believe me, I know...

And you know that things come when their time comes and as soon as I organize my life good enough to be able to focus on one thing at a time, I will find the time to focus on the good word and its energy...

We will stay on it together...

My goodness Ana, I feel as though I've found my star pupil... you've fulfilled my dream... to teach.

Do you know that you yourself are a teacher? Always questioning why life experiences differ from own values. Always looking for the next step, knowing that there is one. Eager to pass on your knowledge to others. Being able to find real joy in learning, knowing that there is more to learn.

I was talking to hubby last night about education. I think the first question we ask ourselves as children is "Where am I?" And off we go exploring and experimenting; finding our physical place in the physical world; our connection to nature, the Universe and its energy. Our next question is "Who am I?" And this is where we notice our interaction with others, because we instinctively know that others reflect our own values: those we admire are a reflection of our true selves, those we dislike reflect the fears we must confront to be the people we aspire to be: our true self. Once we feel that connection to all physical and spiritual life and have complete faith in who we are, we then set about doing what we were born to do. Sounds simple doesn't it!

The issues arise as soon as unconditional love moves out of the equation, bringing about the need to fill the gap it creates with those negative behaviours we all use to get us through.

Ana, your last post told me that you are questioning your own negative behaviours and I feel that is the key to learning who we are. Our negative behaviours mask our true selves, we use them in place of us being our true selves. And you are absolutely spot on with your approach - always endeavour to be content when dealing with people; discontent is our indication that we're not being our true selves... there is more to learn... and the good news is: that there always is more to learn!

My philosophy on life is: to live life with the optimism of the child; love life with the unconditional love of the parent and learn about life with the sagacity of the wise old man... we are each all three... and you have massive helpings of each one!

I do not post much because I know there is a cost for all that we do. However, I decided to here simply because it is nice to see that old souls are out there. I believe that I have an ancient soul. Throughout all my life I new there was something different about me. My understanding of life and love was far beyond that of my peers and family. In the past five years I have learned so much about coincidence and cosmic thought that I began to wonder if there were any more like me out there. I have read the posts in this thread and I know I am not alone.

It is truly an honor to meet you. Like you truth, I too believe that teaching is important. However, it is not as easy as I once believed. So many people are closed minded. Simple lessons can become catastrophic if the learner is unable to learn. This I found the hard way.

I know that mankind has the greatest of potential. I believe in each and every one. I believe that we all have greatness, love, courage, compassion, kindness, and great intelligence. We can all be so wonderful and yet possess the power to be absolutely terrible. It is our choices that make us what we are.

You are great. Keep up the good work and know that even an ancient soul can see the goodness within each of you.

I often thought to myself how right you are with your nickname.
I am so happy that I am not alone on that one.
Just like you, I have always felt the difference between myself and the people surrounding me.

I somehow always knew that all these things I can see can not just come from me...
I know by now that the spirits of my ancestors live through me and that their wisdom is mine...

After a certain period of time I understood that the only difference between people is that open and faithful, fully fearless approach to life and its mysteries... And that certain strenght of emotion that gives you the opportunity to feel more than others can feel in every way possible... in every dimension...

Some people have it but they dont have control over it and they still get lost on their ways, but all those who are blessed with fearlessness and faith can find their ways because they can recognize the positive and useful in all life...

Anyways ancient, happy you adressed me and hope to hear more from you...

Hi Ancientmind,

Your spirit is too good to keep to yourself, please share often:- resources used in the expansion of human knowledge with the intention of sharing that knowledge has to be a good cause - no debate!

You have much to share and I am sure that there are many others on this forum who would appreciate your comment and feedback on their posts. Knowledge becomes beliefs only once shared, in effect, put into practise. Many a time I've written advice on the forum 'knowing' that the words rang true, only realising my belief in them later, when I was able to put them into practise in my own life.

Life is a quest for lessons: questions! When we seek to make sense of that which doesn't, we take up the challenge; life becomes an adventure.

It is good to know that acceptance is so freely shared. My mind is often rejected due to misunderstandings. It is not easy to know so much and still be able to explain myself without confusion. Even when I teach, I am always reminded that I must slow down and define my words and thoughts better.

Hi Ancientmind,

I've learnt a very important lesson today... my missing/hidden link and you and Ana were a very important part of that step in my journey.

People ask for help of those who are there to give and to learn. Ana asked for help, you and I were there to give help and we have both learned from that giving experience. Spooky huh!

No, not spooky at all - that's the way life works. When we cut ourselves a little slack and enjoy that sense of being, we become open to the lessons that life has to teach us.

Share and share often. When we give we learn and when we ask for help we learn... life is for sharing!

You are a star with a heart of gold - enjoy!
