Namaste - My name is Hunter. I have read a couple of the Celestine Prophecy books and have seen the movie, too, and I have loved them and the potentials they offer for the world and myself.
Since age 4/5, I have known there is more to life. I purposely kept the company of mature people hoping to gain some insight or understanding about the purpose of life and how to get to know this something more. And though I had experiences like premonition, etc., it was nothing that most people seemed to take seriously, and definitely not something that I spoke with people of the church, that definitely seemed to be the wrong place for such a conversation. Though in my youth, I did turn to the church for awhile seeking my answers and understandings, but it was not coming together. The good thing is I could not give up; I had to continue to seek because I knew there was something more (whatever more was).
That more came together for me when I met an enlightened master, who initiated me into the mysteries of that "more." It has been a very difficult road, or so I find. The further down this path I walk, the more willing I have to be to face myself, my fears, my desires that take me off course, my delusions, etc. Who knew that finding unconditional love could be so difficult, and yet this understanding of how difficult it is helps me understandy why some people feel compelled to eventually leave the spiritual path (maybe for a while and sometimes until another life time).
But I am hoping that I am in it for the long haul and plan to reach my goal. I understand that I do not do it alone. And that it takes as much grace as effort. Trying to understand myself, life, and situations through study of philosophy, self-inquiry, and meditation are my favorite past times.
I offer the wisdom I have to give here freely, and open myself to freely accept the wisdom that comes my way.
Namaste! |

Welcome Hunter,
I think that you have found another place that welcomes the honesty of Self discovery, curious brainstorming, and personal knowings to share.

| So I am curious how best to engage people here in this forum or in the chat room on topics of discussion. Any thought? |

Why yes.
My chosen way is to read around on the forum. Soon I know where I want to post a topic for discussion. Kelly has added several lead titles to assist.
Per chat: Unfortunately I do not see a way that people move from chat to forum. The chats are fun and spontaneous and can be very warm. Try it out. I would love to see more movement from board to chat to board for deeper discussions on a topic.
PS. Are you from DC or have you 'landed' there? Suburbs or inside? I am born and raised in the Md. burbs... now mostly in the Va. burbs. _________________ Searching Searcher |

Thanks for you reply CE. I had an almost interesting conversation in the chat room this morning.
I have lived in the DC area for over 3 years now. Right now, I know this is where I am suppose to be.
Maybe I can catch you online at the sametime I am here.
Any particular topics you would like to bring up? Mine usually revolve around life and purpose and/or those things that distract me from them and exploring how to get back on track... |

Thanks Jen.
I looked at your website. For the first time in my life, I would actually consider being coached. Though it is something I have to think a bit more about, plus I have to consider the cost, too, since I will be out of work by the middle of next week. But it is something worth considering.
I am glad you said hi! |

Hi Hunter,
An Aussie friend of mine, having undertaken a coaching course, bullied me at a time when I was trying to be positive, but in a very British, negative way, into letting her practise on me... I was reluctant because I'd been brought up to sort out my own problems... I'm so glad I gave in to her. Six telephone sessions later, and my journey was kickstarted.
Saying that, coaching isn't for everyone, I needed that kickstart, because even though I didn't know it at the time, she could see that I was sinking.
The important message here was that she was there when I needed her. The key in learning our life's lessons is planting the want to learn in our hearts, life will then provide opportunities for us to do so.
Your post prompted me to think about an article I read in the Sunday Times this week about Suzy Greaves, who is a British coach, currently offering a free 30 day coaching program:
www.thebigpeace.com
Although she would like subscibers to donate to her chosen charity, I believe that she knows that anyone who does learn to find their true selves will go on to benefit the world... in their own way.
Enjoy the journey...

Hi Hunter,
I hope you enjoy the discussions here on this site as much as the rest of us who visit here.
What I find with both the board and the chat room is it is so welcoming. People are so accepting and are fine if you just join in a chat. The board seems to be more of a thoughtout kind of discussion whereas chat is more instant.
I get to the board morethan chat but, that's only because I can only chat on the chat room late at night since that's when most people are on there from the US and so it is on my day off.
Look forward to speaking with you. Much love and gifts and sharings result on both the board and chat room. The support is immeasurable. I feel we connect here as soul since we don't know each other physically. Much more authentic.
Love
Theressa |
