The Light Dream

I believe I may have shared this dream before but thought I'd repost it in the new dreams section. I had this dream a year ago Christmas time. As a frame of reference I had just watched The Muppets Christmas Carol which had a scene with scrooge going through a light with an angel from the past. I remember thinking it would be cool to do that so it is probably one reason why I had the dream. In any event, I thought I would share it all with you as it is one of my favorites.

I dreamt I was in a Norman Rockwell type town square with some other people. There wasn’t a huge number of people but enough to notice that I wasn’t alone, though none of the people seemed to be familiar to me. I made a comment to someone near me that night must be coming as it seemed as though it was beginning to get dark. We both looked into the sky to watch the light fade when all of a sudden it started to get light again. I thought, how strange, night hasn’t even total fallen yet and now it’s becoming day again. My eyes panned the sky to the right to discover why. In the distance what I assumed was a star was growing larger, or better still this star was growing larger because it was coming towards us. The closer it got the brighter and more defined it became. As it neared close enough for us to distinguish what it was it turned out that it was indeed a star. And yet, though I knew it was a star it also reminded me of a Christmas ornament. It was a star with points but also rounded. The star itself was illuminated but it also had a number of individual smaller Christmas type lights running along the face. As it rotated and sort of pulsed in the sky the light coming from it grew so bright it turned the world a brilliant white. As this brilliant white light spread farther and farther out I noticed a hum of sound begin to grow that was so powerful you could feel a vibration. The hum itself, though I can’t really describe it, reminded me of a hum you might hear from an electrical appliance yet the sound itself was 100 times stronger. So much so that it was impossible to truly talk with the person next to you without yelling. As the pulse of this sound grew stronger with the growing strength of the light the vibration you felt at the very core of your body made the world begin to feel as though it was shaking. As the world began to turn into this pulsating bright white light all I could make out was the outlines of people vibrating and the thought that came to mind was this is what pure energy is. But then I began to fear for my safety. I have a very strong survival instinct, and I began to worry that we couldn’t sustain the exposure to this high level of energy without disintegrating so I yelled for everyone to get down to the ground which we did and at that point I woke up. My initial thought when I woke up was darn it!

So that’s the dream. I thought it was pretty cool until I chickened out.
At least that is what I felt initially until some days later though a conversation with someone that was very synchronistic I realized that the dream meant to show me the point isn't to be come perfect with the light. There may be an end goal for this planet and then again maybe not. But I believe the dream was showing me the point isn't for us to become perfect but to accept that we are love despite our imperfections. Anyways it has been my only mystical dream so far and I thought pretty neat so I thought I'd share.

Thank you for posting this again, I don't think I read it when it was first posted.

I agree with you entirely, we, as the wonderfully unique individuals that we are, are the sum of our perfections and imperfections.

The good news is that it's our imperfections that guide us back onto our right path. Without self doubt, we would not question; without false ego we would not feel the guilt and without low self esteem, we wouldn't feel the shame. All those feelings of guilt, shame and of course the questions, help us determine what is our right and wrong... if and when we choose to use them.

You gotta love this life!

Just another thought,
Each one of us can bring this wonderful en"light"enment energy of love and change upon the earth by actively being a "light" of love and change. One by one by one we can light up the world with the new energy by consciously being that new energy...even if it may be a bit scary to stand up and shine from within by gathering and sharing above and beyond the call of brightness...it will become as natural as breathing once we see and feel the smiles of love we help create.

The light is upon us as never before...we can help open the hearts of every one in front of us to this loving light!

hi michelle i have just joined the forum iam from scotland and i was drawn to your post about your dream which was lovely . i have just started to do the experiential guide and the syncronicity i'm having about dreams are so great just now that i had to post this i hope you don't mind .

i picked a totem animal this morning and it was lizard and it told me to pay attention to my dreams and their symbols and that i was to keep a dream log to record all that I remember and it all so said that dreams are very important and to pay attention to them .

Hi Earthangel,

You are more than welcome to post. I am glad you did. The dream for me was more than just a dream. This one was different which is why I shared so I am glad you like it as much as I did. But you are correct that our dreams hold much insight and guidance for us. As a matter of fact the symbolism in your dreams also translates into your real life too. If you can get proficient at interpreting your dreams take a stab at looking around for symbolism in your waking world and see it is there too. A really good dream interpretation book that I use a lot is, The Mystical Magical Marvelous World of Dreams by Wilda B Tanner. For me personally I feel the author hit on some truths in her symbolism interpretations. In any event when you have some good ones please do share.
