Hi Margo, Hi Koollady!

I am extremely passionate about this book. I bought it in 2004 after a friend said I would love it. She was right. I couldn't put it down. The first time didn't have that great effect on me as I was a bit distracted by the outside world. But after the second time I felt 'on top of the world'. It really brought me out of my shell. I began to talk to strangers and found important messages in our discussions.

From there, I've been passing it on to friends who come back telling me how much they loved it. One girl used the subject in her Philosophy studies at University and passed with flying colours. I find it's a book that brings everyone together. Well it sure shows on this website with all the people to use it.

I hope the book has an influence on you for years to come, or even the rest of your life, because there is nothing negative about this book. It's the way we all should be.

Your friend

Fiona

Hi Fiona, I believe in energy and how it affects us, and this is what has drawn me to the book. I know many have said it has changed their lives. I can't wait to finish it, to know what happens. I think I'll collect the others too! Wink

You'll find that picking up this book will be a coincidental step in your journey to finding your spiritual self. Everything we do in our lives is part of our evolutionary flow. We can never have enough knowledge. That's why I choose to listen really carefully to what others have to say. We didn't just come across these people/circumstances by chance.

Picking up this book is the same sort of concept. It's another stepping stone in what life has to offer. Whether you like the book or not, I know that you'll carry that knowledge with you for the rest of your life.

Best wishes

Fiona

Hi All,

I read the celestine prophecy book one along time ago. But, I recently bought a copy of the experiental guide that goes with it. I bought it thinking it will come in handy one day. But, I was in the middle of the tenth insight experiental guide which I intuitively found in an oxfam bookshop after asking and praying for answers about work. The book helped immensely. Then I went to the library and picked up a copy of the tenth insight novel and began reading that. But, for some reason I felt I needed to go back to the experiental guide for the first nine insights. And guess what. The fifth insight has been the one I've needed recently alot. So, I really think that without a doubt these books have been available at just the right time.

I have been really working on my responses, making them more conscious and getting rid of old patterns. One example, is my reaction to a complaint made against me, which I know helped the organisation to put together some proper policies and procedures in this area of my work. The boundaries were very fuzzy. Now they've been made more clear. My intial reaction to the complaint was GOOD I know I will learn something from this process and so will our organisation. The others involved found my response strange.

Anyway, the compliant was upheld and the new policies and procedures have been put together. This is good news for people in the future who work here. But, I realised that the way one of the members of staff reacted reminded me, of me. In fact each member did! That is the staff member and the complaint which was an unpaid staff member.

I realised how I'd reacted when something bothered me in the past. I would have in the past felt uncomfortable approaching the person I had the issue with and try to solve the problem in person with them. No, I'd have felt the need to go through official channels, which actually alienate team members more. Now, for me building good working relationships is essential.

But, I realised that I have a choice how I respond next. I could appeal and create more alienation and waste more time. Especially since I know this member of staff was just feeling threatened and it was due to having no policies and procedures or proper boundaries in place of peoples roles.

Or I could follow appropriate protocol and speak to this persons supervisor and talk about doing things differently here on and acknowledging the fact that now in hindsight I'd handle things differently. Hopefully, then the issue will be positively handled.

So, for me I realised I could respond in anger. OR I could respond positively in a way to move forward and work with others.

The organisation really needs me also right now. I could have resigned as the work I do for them is unpaid but, I see this would have detrimental effects on the organisation because there is only 3 company directors left and I am one of them. They can't function with less than 3. Also, I am the only one who is authorised to sign cheques. I realised I could see this as a power trip and leave and leave them in the lurch but that would cause major problems. This organisation helps alot of people with emotional support. The impact would be too great. Also, I know this is about the whole. Whatever, I do to them will come back and affect me also.

I want to respond positively for the greatest good. So, the decision was I will stay even if its only until I can get someone to replace me. So, I feel glad I know these principles of the celestine prophecy because they have guided me.

Blessings to you all and thanks for sharing

Theressa

Hi Theresa,

What a breakthrough experience you have had. Not only did you learn that you could react to conflict in a positive way but you also showed all those sitting on the sidelines watching the proceedings that they could too. I'm sure whatever the new policies and procedures that came of it will be good for the organization but you also managed to help open positive lines of communication within the group that are a model for others to follow. You have accomplished learning how to separate yourself from other people's actions. This is a huge step in achieving spiritual health. You will now truly begin to see that you are indeed capable of choosing how you want to react instead of reacting from emotional defenses. People will no longer be able to use their control dramas on you. This is something to be very proud of. You should pat yourself on the back. You have achieved liberation from your negative habits. Congratulations.

Hi Michelle,

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! for the reinforcement. I do feel that I am learning daily that feedback is very useful and that a positive response means that it improves the lives of others. It gives me an opportunity to focus and see if its valid, or what message is it mirroring to me about me. Also, that something constructive has come out of the conflict.

I feel much more in control of myself. I feel less in need to control others or making things right for them. I realised that I did not need to get tangled up in others feelings, I could think about how best to respond in away that things would improve. That the conflict/compliant was highlighting something very significant. I know it would have been easy for me to personalise this, infact I know that due to fear the paid member of staff wanted to get one over on me. But, I did not bite the bait. I stopped the merry go around.

It feels good to realise you stopped the merry go round. Much better than the feeling of getting my own back.

So thank you for the reinforcement.

Namaste!

Blessings

Theressa
