Hello, my name is Scott. I'm from Lancaster, OH. My journey started for me when I parted with the Church of Christ to find my true self. Before that I spent many years trying to justify the position of the church with that of my own inner perception but it was always unscriptural everytime I tried to advance the position of the church towards these convictions and interpretations I had. I just couldn't give myself over to their fundemental belief that salvation comes from the outside in rather than from the inside out. I knew I was created for far more than this and so I left.

I just recently watched the movie 'The Celestine Prophesy'. It reminded me that I can not reason my way to peace. When I first left the church I developed a very keen understanding of the Great Spirit. Somehow I lost that sensability along the way. I got too caught up in the problems of this world in an attempt to shine a light on them. Things got pretty bad for me to in terms of how I apply myself in situations both in action and in thought. I would watch movies such as DragonHeart, Joshua (Joseph Girzone), Field of Dreams , What Dreams May Come, The Good Witch, The Apocalypse (Richard Harris), The Karate Kid (Ralph Macchio and Pat Morita) among other inspirational films dreaming that I could have that kind of an effect upon the world. "I just need to reason things out a bit more," I thought. Well I had been doing that for awhile but even though I was growing in knowledge of myself, the bible, and the world around me, I wasn't getting any closer to living it and so 'The Celestine Prophesy' was the breaking point.

I wanted that peace back that I previously had. The Course in Miracles seems to be the answer. I'm sure to read the Novels by James Redfield and Salle Redfield at some intuitive point.

When I consider the greatest leaders in the world, I see that they had but one thing in common; they knew themselves to a 'T' and had the spirit to pursue their purpose even when things didn't work out as they planned. Had they not had the spirit they would have just been another voice that no one heard because of all the noise.

I look forward to being a part of this community. Thankyou for having me Very Happy

UNDER CONSTRUCTION...Will edit from time to time as I remember the details Smile
