| The other evening my husband was restless and couldn't sleep so he was outside stargazing when he felt a strong urge to go into his art studio and turn on the radio. A late night talk show was on and the topic was prayer. The guest was talking about scientific studies on the effectiveness of prayer. There was a new twist I hadn't heard about before. They went back and looked at hospitol addmissions from 20 years ago and assigned people to pray for some of the patients without telling them it was in the past. Then they looked at the records to see how the patients had done. The patients that were prayed for in the future did better than those that were not prayed for. My husband remembered his father talking about going up the beach at Normandy without a scratch while shells were expoding all around him and how he had felt somehow protected. My husband felt an urge to pray for his father to come home safe from the war and now he prays for his father every evening and he believes his prayers today help his father in the past. We have begun to pray for other family members that faced difficult situations in the past sending energy back in time to them. |

Whoah. Cindy- this is a fascinating idea... Time has always been a wonderfully deep topic for me - and this , well this IS new to me... I'lll have to think about it for a while.
I have tried to pray for myself in my future---- I know I have a hard time during winter months and so during the summer when I am well, I pray for my future self in the coming winter... it seems to have had some effect the one year I did it.. i dunno... anyone have some funding for some experiments??? _________________ Sister G0$he |
