Hello all good spirits out there!!!
I love to garden it makes me feel like I have taken the spirit of meditation outside into nature where I feel closer to God and can breath in his beauty.
I plant an herb garden every year, so I can smell his beauty
I feel-- that I am--- putting pinches of his love--- into my food---when I grill-out & into a few sauces as well--- thinking about how it takes a little love and a mixed-up blend of--- (God's goodness in christ love)--- to make me and you all perfect!!! We must smell good to God too!!!
I would not suggest that we taste good --- --- But who knows right???
Perhaps we are God's green thumb and maybe thumb sucking isn't so bad tasting after all!!!

Jennypoo! I just love your passion with everything!
I just picked up some books on gardening - organic, herbs etc.
I am a newly converted plant killer to plant lover and sustainer of life.
I was lucky enough to have someone who i work with take me under her wing and show me a few things that make plants live, such as water, light and fertilizer - you know the basics. (haha)
Anyway - I am right there with you with gardening. I was out tending to the landscaping because we got a freeze (rare for this part of Florida) and I needed to prune. While I was pruning and clipping I went into this meditative state where it was almost like each plant told me what to prune and where for it to feel better. I love the smell of the earth after a rain, I love to get my hands dirty - including the occasional blister - because when I look at my hands it reminds me of the satisfying feeling I get when I garden.
Soon I will start my little herb babies, rosemary, mint, thyme, basil, cilantro and whatever else suits my fancy. I love to cook - and seeing your post just makes me even more anxious to start soon.
Happy Gardening to you. May all your veggies be full, may all your herbs season the best recipes you have and let your bounty be plentiful and abundant!
I love creation, and love to take part in it!
Keep me posted on your garden, love to hear tips here and there.
Peace and Happiness to you and your garden!

Hey, Snoopyfan8!!!
Honestly, I just heard from a woman about her herb garden and I thought why not try it?
I have so many herbs that I planted last spring and prayed to God in Christ to let them flow and grow ---
These little herbs look like a goddess of (herb---ville)--- lol --- planted those things and the miracle is that it is so freakin cold here this year ---I just knew they would die --- well God in Christ showed me his power ---they are taller and more healthy than any garden--- I have ever seen!!!
God has one awsome green thumb!!!
Good luck and we can exchange some cool grilling tips about herbs this spring and summer if you would like!!!
Peace and love from Jennypoo!!! _________________ Jennypoo loves you too!!! |

Hello Jennypoo
I love my garden too. It is too small to grow food, apart from a few herbs, and I grow mostly flowers.
I just love watching things grow and, in the spring when the evenings start to get lighter, it is a great source of joy to walk up my little garden path after work and see what else is beginning to shoot.
I have a small fernery on one side that does not get much sun and that gives me some greenery to look at in the winter. I have a nice mix of different species and I enjoy the contrast of the feathery fronds against the glossy broad leaved types.
At the moment, all the bulbs are escaping upwards and I have some crocuses out already. The two camelias carry buds that are fat and bursting, with the frothy pink of the petals promising an appearance soon. Plum coloured hellebores are in full flower underneath. The flowering quince is covered in buds and has been showing a few crimson flowers since early December.
Not to forget the weeds, ofcourse. Heck, a weed is just a plant growing in the wrong place
Spring has definitely started springing and each day, I notice with excitement a new little little something making a tentative appearance.
Happy growing Jennypoo!

Hey you Green Thumbs!!!
Jennypoo here just finished reading your post today and I love you both!!!
I wanted to share what's up in my yard today as well 01-29-08
My tulips, buttercups, ferns, crocus, hostas, and weeds (I love weeds as well--- some are more beautiful than flowers)---
are all just sprouting up and out and screaming at the sun to shine faster everyday!!!
I can hardly wait until spring!!! (and summer too!!!)
I am looking forward to planting anything---
I can get my hands on this year because global warming is freakin out my yard ---so I am concerned ---but in awe of these wild changes as well!!!
Today, I awoke, to find the tornado that miss my house last night left a hugh pile of trees in my back yard!
My cats were freakin out at 5 am---- so I went outside--- in the dark of course--- not seeing the trees--- to get the morning paper and put out extra cat food for my extra friends---
I have aquired 3 racoons who love dry catfood and to my suprise the birds were flying into the catfood and taking a piece into their little beaks and a little red fox came up as well!!!
So, I just said wow! Thanks, God and Jesus!!!
( this truly is heaven on earth!!!)
After, I started planting herbs, garlic, various plants and a few trees---& putting out bird seed & cat food ---I have deer, a family of heron birds and wild geese as well as wild ducks and the tiny & cutest little humming birds too!!! Also Squirrels love it around here as well!!!
I think as we plant and eat healthy foods and make our earth better the animals who are clearly being affected by global warming are going to keep coming out of the wooded areas looking to us for food and help!!!
Chat again soon !!! Love & peace be within you eternally

Hi Jennypoo,
My yard sounds a lot like yours! I just adore the wildlife and nature all around. We are fortunate that we live in the South ~ as it seems that Spring is just around the corner. Blessings on your planting of trees.

I am a gardener as well though I do not focus on aesthetics but more on gardening geared toward making a very small form of sustainable life. I am really into growing tomato tots, basil, some peppers and eggplants which coupled with some cheeses and oil, can already be made into a meal of parmigiana.
Though I am also looking at other things that would be a mix of aesthetics and for personal consumption like mint which when added to some juice drinks really infuses good flavor. |
