Soft mist forms a scalloped veil over the mountain as much needed rain begins its sprinkle downward. Wrens seek refuge in the cliffside feeders, vying for their strategic positions.
Nearby a cardinal perches on a branch as it refocuses my eyes reminding me that everything we do matters.
I think about the season, as the leaves continue to fall. Sap runs down the taproot as it prepares to do what it has done forever. The tree will go dormant as it takes its much needed rest ready to begin another cycle in Spring.
I am thankful for the rain, the wrens, the cardinal and the trees. I am thankful for Spirit and that life is as good as it is. I am thankful to James for this site and all the wonderful and loving folks, like you, who take the time to visit.
I look forward to hearing what you are thankful for. |

great post.
I thankyou for this wonderful post and the images it conjures, the reminder of our connection to the living planet and to eachother, for you and i are One.
I thank the one true creator of love, peace, justice and truth for granting me yet another day of life, the opportunity to love and learn and experience emotion that i may learn and take what i have learned back to my beloved when i depart from this dimension of reality.
Thank you

i'm located in the outbacks of hertfordshire, the countryside here offers some timeless walks. Where in the world are you?
I'm so glad you feel welcome, i have my little phases of spending time here then backing off for a time, sometimes i just feel kind of beckoned to visit here and have a little nosey around and usually find some sort of synchronistic encounter that delivers a message other times i randomly enounter others where there is a kinship or relevant connection, it's strange yet familliar so i just go with it
I'm thankful to James too, his work really resonates with me, i feel his work has really touched on truths we all recognise. I was thinking how the movie Avatar and the celestine vision movie both have this scene where the people join together through nature. love & beauty to overcome the opposing forces, this is what is happening right now, i've seen it everywhere on the internet and around me too, i just hope and pray for a peaceful approach, that we can all do what is right and what is just and stay true to our hearts, to stay grounded in love and not fear but continue to raise our vibrations through intentful prayer and meditation so that we may be aligned for the greater good, to say no and speak out when it is time to do what is right. To be the change we want to see.
Well that's it from me, its been a pleasure talking with you, stay well and look forward to speaking with you again.

Hello!
Nice to read your post even though some time has past since you posted it. I have been strongly drawn to the Smoky Mountains and Tennessee lately. Lots of googling I also have an aunt in North Carolina. Beautiful state. I am in western Canada right now and originally from the east coast in Canada but truly appreicate the fall season. It is not the same out here as it is in the east althoight here boasts its own beauty. I see myself returning east one day to enjoy my favourite season once again.
I also write songs and feel Nashville is to play a part in my journey. Thank you for sharing warm thoughts about your home !
