Please pray for us and our 11 yrs companion...Cleo the lovely golden retriever that has been our companion for so long, have had a very agressive cancer for the past three months...today the vet told us it is time to put her to sleep, the tumor has closed her throat and and she breaths with difficulty. Even though I knew this day was coming...it is terribly sad and very difficult to decide to do such a thing...she is incredibly sweet and gentle, comes happily to greet us at the door , sick as she is, and sure enjoys a piece of cake if you hand it to her...
we sure do not want her to continue suffering ...so we must choose a date for the event...
but so many feelings do come...she had given us a life of joy and laughter...we have loved her back dearly.
it is time for her to rest ,yes, it is time to say goodbye...looks like...
but all of you that have a four legged loyal companion know it is never easy to do so...I can say actually it is very very hard..more if you are told it is your call when she will pass.
At this moment I wish she could come to me or my kids in a dream and tell us ...she will be fine.
Please pray for us,may the Light Beings bring peace to all of us, in this moment of need.

Dear EagleSoul
I read your prayer request a couple days ago and although i never responded at the time, my thoughts and heartfelt prayers have been with you and your family. I wander what has happened since you posted. I pray for comfort and peace to envelope cleo and that you & your family find peace and comfort also during this difficult time.
And so it is
with all my love

Dear wolf friend:
tks for your words, they arrive just in time , tomorrow Monday 0102-2010 , she will go to the other side of life , she will trust us once more , and get in the car to the vet office...this time she wont be back home... at least physically...will she be ok?
at least she will stop suffering I repeat to myself...but the task to take away the life of another being , is a hard one , I do not take it lightly and only after much deliberation I have reached acceptance of this responsibility.
Even though we finally came to the conclusion this is the best possible outcome for her, cause these days she has lost all her will to go out , to play , and even this last two days her will to eat ,and her difficulty to breath is notorious, all of it does not make it easier...it is a death in the family , the passing away of someone that gave us unconditional Love every single time she approached us.
And as with every passing , at first we will miss acutely her loving presence...and slowly the best of our memories will keep her with us, she has been a lovely puppy , a beautiful and obedient youngster, a great mom , and a patient and gentle elder ...what else can be asked from her? the only thing left is to thank her for all the good times she gave us...where do good doggies go? I can only hope that she may find in the other side of Life many gentle dogs like her to play eternally with...
Tks for having us in your thoughts ...yes may she be enveloped in peace and comfort...and may we reach peace one day also...

Eaglesoul,
I'm sorry to hear about your dear friend. In my experience, it was the four-legged teachers who teach me the most about patience, caring, and Love.
My flute teacher has a wonderful little dog. Every time I arrive at my teacher's apartment, the first thing I hear is Jazzy barking excitedly When I'm feeling frustrated about something in a lesson, I will stop, take a breath, pet Jazzy, and when I go back to the lesson, it seems to come a bit more easily. I'm more relaxed, focused and I think receptive to the music. Personally, I don't think it's any coincidence that she's a therapy dog, and that my teacher shares her name with the archangel of healing.
I think a new little friend will wander into your life soon.
Namaste
