Hi.
I would like to elaborate on the issue of "Fate".
First of all, it is important to distinguish it from destiny, because I have noticed several times when those terms are used interchangably.
So, what is fate? Too what extend does it affect our lives? And likewise, to what extend do we have control over what happens to us?
To me it appears that saying things like 'this was meant to happen', or 'everything is inevitable' is a kind of resignation...and an excuse. I believe in willpower and that humans have the ability to direct their lives any way they wish and make the best of their dreams and ideals.
On the other hand, I get sceptical when noticing undeniable synchronistic patterns which tend to repeat over and over again. It is tempting to say 'this is (my) fate' at such times... yet is it true? Could it not be that it is simply the law of cause and effect which gives rise to similar events, rather than being an inevitable course in one person's life?
So, maybe, what seems to be fate is actually only that way as long as the underlying conditions don't change. Even so, it might not be easy to break free from that kind of synchronicity (if it is negative of course!)? But I think it is possible.
Does that make sense? I am very interested in hearing what your personal experiences as far as reccuring synchronistic events go and what do you believe can alter the course of a seemingly 'fated' circle? _________________ Any wish, if truthful can become reality |

| My boyfriend was 5 minutes late taking our son to school. As they arrived, a three year old boy was playing by the road. His mother could not see him from the yard.no one else was around because school had already started. Had my boyfriend not been late, who knows what could have happened. Is this fate? Being at the right place at the right time. There are many was to define fate. |
